You cannot imagine how happy I am to learn that the Dots are coming back for a 2nd production run!  My plan is to order the black set and the rainbow black set and a desk pad.

Q: Can Someone explain how it works with the proxies?  Does everyone pay NovelKeys but sets are distributed by a proxy located closer to you geographically?

Feature Request:
ISO Enter: Take a capital L. Rotate it 180 degrees. Put that on the ISO enter key. Let the freaky shaped key have two funky line segments.

Unfortunately it seems like a common trend to forgo ergo kits in GMK R2.  If you see one, grab it 'cuz it's never coming back!

Is there a render with the light base on the alphas and the dark base on the mods? Might have to go for both if it looks nice enough

You pay your proxy and they handle the rest. If you buy from novelkeys they’ll be the one to ship it to you, not your closest proxy.

Late Ferbuary or early March is a solid guess. Groupbuys for keycap sets usually last ~month.

Is there any chance of a 1.25u space? Putting a normal key between two convex spaces (as with the 2.25/1.25/2.75 layout that some boards use) looks really weird and a 1.25u key is only thing missing from the spacebar kit

one of the VE.A clone layouts I used to use had it too. Youre probably outta luck here, but if you use the light dots, the ws1 (same white color) 1.25u spacebar is in the gmk minimal kit and someone would probably sell it to you.

Oh yeah you're right. I do intend on getting the white kit, so since its just WS1 I should hopefully be able to find a 1.25u from someone else. It definitely would make my life easier if it was just part of the spacebar kit but thanks for telling me

Our best chance for Ergo compatibility I think is to get 2, 1.5U R1 keys added to the nomad set. then it would at least be possible with 2 base kits + a nomad kit to make a full ergo kit.

basically the same as MechMarket prices are for the set, plus you get a whole bunch of extra keys for as they get shiney

for the dots set how would an ergo kit increase the costs. we just need more 1.5u and 2u keys, they can be the same colour and shape as existing keys even with the mx and row shapes

Looks to me like the base kit doesn't have enough 1u mod-colored keys to cover layouts with two left-side macro columns (think J-01, VE.A, Qefreny, Sinc ...). I'd hate to be forced to buy the huge rainbow addon kit just to get these couple of extra keys, might it be worth considering adding them to base or even nomad ?

Could this be addressed? From what I can tell all that’s missing in base is two mod-colored 1u R3 keys. Could these be added? If not to base then at least to nomad kit, I’d hate to be forced to buy the huge rainbow kit just for those two keys.

These are double-shot keycaps.  I would be dumbstruck if GMK were unable to make dots and oblong legends anything less than perfectly.  Compared to the complexity of characters such as the semicolon, a big fat dot should be the easiest thing in the world.

And in the top of that, there are already 8 kits for this GB.

Im actually so sad right now. Just realized that no matter how may kits i buy i wont get 1.5U R1 keys. Still best keycaps out there, but man thats a bummer.

A year+ is typically the ETA for GMK nowadays. Price is usually dictated by the MOQ.
