This is because Jamón was run on Massdrop. Rules change when things go through MD because there isn't a question on MOQ. MD will buy out remaining kits so it is guaranteed that the set will get made. This enables them to get a jumpstart both on production time slot, as well as on color sampling.

Kits run on smaller sites will order extras, but cannot commit to buying everything like MD does. Those sets have to wait until MOQ is hit because that is what guarantees  GMK that they will get the order.

Not trying to stir the pot on this but the color samples thing is why I'm sitting this one out. I don't expect color samples directly from GMK for a new designer before a group buy hits MOQ, but it's worrying to me that other than the bright green no prospective colors or pantones are being shared. I know it can still be difficult to match a color swatch, but it gives me more confidence when I know what we're shooting for outside of a render.

I hope everything goes smoothly for everyone involved though. It's a really nice looking set and if the colors match up well with the renders it will definitely be one of the best looking GMK sets.

Pretty sure they're all custom colors. The mods look darker than the grey of N9.

I've been reading the IC thread since it was created and it doesn't mention 24 hours anywhere but if I missed it please point me in the right direction.   My proxy is cannonkeys and since I've never used them before I'm not subscribed to their newsletter.   Either way, I'm not here to start a fight but it would have been nice to point it out in the GB thread somewhere for myself and others who may be joining later into the month.

Yeah, for all the hate this group buy is getting on reddit, I'm glad to see it is doing so well. Those numbers are REALLY good for a non-massdrop group buy. Can't beat a nice design.
