[IC] 1800 with a 75% form factor
« on: Sun, 17 September 2017, 11:13:47 »
Hello!

Today I'm presenting to you all a 1800 but with a 75% form factor.

What do I mean by that? Chop off 3 columns to the right of a G80-1800 and you should see what I mean.

Features:
  • 1800/75% layout
  • MX/Alps
  • Weight
  • Lock Lights
  • Aluminium Case
  • ISO/ANSI
  • possibly Nylon bottom
We're torn between a few layouts, be sure to vote here for the one you like.

The name of the keyboard is also subject to change, right now the two main ones are:
  • 1875 (as for 1800 and 75%)
     and
  • 1800S (as for 1800 and Small)

There should be a case render within the next couple weeks!

Anyway, thank you for reading this through, and be sure to give feedback on it!

Voted for #4. I think I've seen a one-off like this way back.

I think this is a great idea. I vote for 1875 for the name. Voted for layout 4. Also you should consider split backspace if you ahve not already.

Really digging #3. I think more space between ESC and F1 than F4/F5 F8/F9 looks a little bit better and makes more sense. Really cool project!

This layout is the best intermediate solution between a sixty and a TKL. If not here, I hope someone produce it, it would be brilliant.

Simply no. Ours is Cherry inspired while this one is IBM-inspired. That's not we want.
