LOL. Yes, I thought I can use it as an handle, but it's not the main purpose. I have an video on the indiegogo page, you can find it provided a basic ergonomic solution for moving writers.

The kit includs two parts:
1- the wrist rest made of soft TPE and carbon enhanced PLA frame.
2- the stand part, for supporting the mobile device.
All of them are 3d printed.

The frame can be easily removed for packing.

I don't think the palm rests are ergonomic at all. They sit too low and at a questionable angle.

As for the tablet/phone stand, hmm. I can't really comment on this. The only one I liked was a Japanese design that opened like a folding table or a double-sided ladder.

Emm. Hope you can try it for a while.
I don't think a higher palm rest is better.My concept is keeping the wrist - palm in a single line. so if you are using a 60% keyboard, the rest should just follow the height and angle of the keyboard itself.
So if you are using some higher keyboard, I will provide different versions.

Even if they were in the correct height, the standard layout is a problem; check out vi Esc syndrome.

I noticed there is a main difference: the height of the lower edge of keyboard.

Wrists should be raised to the same level as knuckle regions. That might not be quite viable on too high desk, but that's why I type with an external keyboard in my lap in such cases.

I have the same idea with you. So I also raise my chair or lower the desk. If not, I will also use the keyboard on lap.
I even designed tools for mouse using in that case too.

That's cool, but I don't understand why you're promoting a product that encourages a posture that bad then.

Seriously, looking at the video, I fail to see where's the improvement there. If someone types like that, the best advice I can provide is to relearn typing posture completely: hover arms above the keyboard—to avoid the permanent wrist extension and ulnar deviation when reaching for Backspace/Enter/Escape/…

There's definitely some value in locking a touch-screen device to an external keyboard, though. My preferred construction, however, is similar to the double-sided ladder.

Ah. I found the problem now.
When I use a keyboard like HHKB, I always use it on my lap, or at least use on the very edge of the desk.
But when I taking this video, I put the keyboard inside a lot for a better looking.
Of course "only support the palm" is better. That's how I designed the rests.

Well, it depends on if your elbow is below or above the table height.

many people have a table where their elbow is below, and in that case, the wrist can be below finger height.


There's no one size fits all..


This is an Ipad-Keyboard-Dock,   where it docks the HHKB + Ipad.

Indeed, that's the case of a too high desk, and it's the reason why keyboards have feet in the back.

Then, it's a good idea to lower the desk, raise the chair or stand up, add a tray or type in ones lap/thighs.

I am not sure about other keyboards, but iPad Pro is not able to power HHKB well so an extra power supply is necessary.
And I have to say that’s not stable. So finally I bought a HHKB Pro BT.

I am not sure about other keyboards, but iPad Pro is not able to power HHKB well so an extra power supply is necessary.
And I have to say that’s not stable. So finally I bought a HHKB Pro BT.

thats my take on it as well, annoys me so hard. older ipads do this w/o a problem

But if you buy a HHKB pro BT, you should consider carefully.
I hope to use the keyboard with both my iPad and my win10 PC, but switching the Bluetooth connection caused a lot of issues.
The Win10 can’t reconnect once the HHKB paired with the iPad. The only way is to delete it from the Bluetooth devices list and find it again.
Terrible.
So, my final solution is : HHKB Pro2 for PC, and HHKB BT for iPad.
