Wireless testing update:

We've done thorough testing using the wireless PCB with various plate materials, including aluminum, and can confirm the signal is clear and strong with all plate materials.

We've also opted to run the wireless PCBs on ZMK, especially given that the ZMK Studio GUI suite will be ready by the time Vida ships to customers. In addition, the alpha build is now live!

Learn more about our future plans for working with ZMK Studio on our blog post here: https://cannonkeys.com/blogs/news-and-updates/zmk

I really like the overall styling and concept of this one. Hoping for some decent battery life!

Why does CannonKeys label inner and outer aluminum pieces as "weights"? Aluminum board sections are typically machined to fit actual weights made from other materials, and sometimes even batteries or components. It might be more fitting to refer to these as "inner" or "outer pieces" instead. CannonKeys works with talented designers to create unique products but the marketing approach of segmenting niche color and material combinations at premium prices feels deliberate and often creating an artificial sense of scarcity/FOMO. If you're running a group buy or offering in-stock items, it would be more transparent to provide customers with genuine options to select what they truly want. Since, it better preserve the passion and enthusiasm for these products, rather than letting marketing overshadow their authenticity.
