I agree balanar, the discoloured welds are a bit of a bummer, but at least we were aware that it might happen.

xyril I think they ended up costing around $100 give or take, I believe they were just a one-off run though.
The poker in its original case definitely felt more flimsy, I wouldn't say they suck in original guise but a metal case makes them feel 10 times better to type on!  You may want to take a look at treble's replacement poker cases if you haven't already, they too look amazing; http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=29827.0
