Potato of my current Jane V2 setup. Had to use a scratched up space bar from a OG double shot set because the PBT one was warped badly enough to make it feel like poop.

This keyboard is not currently operational and will be rebuilt when a nice new PCB arrives but Red Riot arrived today and I just wanted to try it on for size.

Someone is going to be making a compatible one. I don't think there's an IC yet and I don't know if they'd mind me saying the few details I know about it so I'll just leave it at that.

Honestly? It's a crapshoot. Find old boards with MX browns and hope they are smooth.

I've seen large variances from really old to relatively new boards (from early to late 90s/early 2000s)

these are from a g80-3181, and they are super duper smooth. i bought a g80-3181 with a similar date code as well to see if the browns were as nice, and they werent (they were still smoother than modern browns but not as nice as the ones that are now in my tx84se. so it is a bit of a crapshoot like another user expalined it. i got very lucky with these ones

the soft tactile bump is so comfortable to type on combined with the smoothness of these

That looks great. I hope those Nixdorfs are buttery smooth! 52g seems so light -- perhaps way too light for me.

To be fair, 52g by kin seem to be a bit heavier by other standards. A tad below red and super smooth maybe. The spacebar is using a heavier spring btw
