^: where do you see your tracking information?

US Postal Service website, I doubt that yours would be on there since you aren't in the US.

Agreed.. though maybe it's just LA customs since other places processed much faster :(

German customs also take their time on this one. It's been stuck there for 3 days now.

Last time I had to pick something up I had to open the package and unbox the TEX case I ordered and show them what's inside, sometimes we have to do that here. They gathered 5 people to ask me what the hell I just ordered and gave me confused looks  :-\

It's a chunk of aluminum so I can smack people with it if they touch my keyboard! :p

EMS is fastish...Price is pretty bad depending on the weight / time it takes vs a properly discounted courier account.

You use the firmware here:
http://duck0113.tistory.com/category/%E2%98%85Firmware%20Program

You should check out the LightSaver GB thread.
We got most of the confusion knocked out there.

I've only used the kingsaver specific utility but if this one's anything like that then it should be pretty easy.

Edit: Looks like you can program the kingsaver on the 02D keymapper too? I dunno why I have one just for the kingsaver then

Thanks. I had trouble saving the layout to a new hex file. It works if you save over an existing hex file. And you need to use FLIP instead of the built-in flasher of the O2D software.

Thanks for the answer, but I guess the dream is over for me.

Board is completely dead now, with a chain of events starting from putting in 3 LEDs the wrong way. Should have left it at that, with completely functional board missing 3 LEDs.

Are you sure what you've done is not repairable? You should post all the steps here so the good folks here can provide some advice. At the least it will serve as a warning to others for what not to do.

can't you just resolder it the right way? Its always better to try if you are unsure instead of assuming your board is dead

Well, just as a warning, if you do winkeyless layout, the 3 keys on the bottom left (ctrl, win, alt) change orientation for LED, didn't notice that as I was just putting in all the LEDs. Just a result of me being careless and not double checking.

Ended up trying and failing to desolder the LED's with the worst possible desoldering pump, and ended up burning off the pads/traces due to frustration.

It actually did still work after those steps, but maybe it shorted after I cleaned it with alcohol or something? Not exactly sure, and currently I have no idea what to do with this. When it's plugged in, it says device is not recognized.

That's unfortunate. I heard that the PCBs weren't very high quality and pads can lift easily when you desolder something. Did you look at the Lightsaver v2 thread and programmed it? Here is the .pdf to save you some time. It's for the Lightsaver but it should work for the Eagle and Viper as well.

I'm currently trying to decipher (literally) the "02D Keymapper".

The quick getting started PDF in the Lightsaver GB thread is nice, but it barely scratches the surface. I've been slowly converting the original Korean documentation into English. In this process I had to do all sorts of weird **** to my computer, including changing my default locale, and using multiple editors (Vim and Sublime so far) in order to change encodings from the frankly awful EUC-KR (which breaks most programs) into the actually useful UTF versions and then translating using Google, which gets me close, but the documentation isn't easily readable since it mangles so much.

I'm working on improving this situation, but I'm curious if someone else has does this already and can save me the trouble?

I have my lightsaver currently programmed with the 02d keymapper. Which version are you using?

I heard there was a bug with the current one on duck's website, so I just downloaded the most recent looking one I could find from KBDlab.kr.

Firstly, it may help to read this:
http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=53942.0

If that doesn't help, please feel free to ask questions. it can be a little hard to figure out at first, but once you've got it, it's pretty good.

I am using v1.3.240 I think, but I also have 1.3.244 and 1.4.288

Note that the above is for the lightsaver, but I think they work with viper/eagle as well. If not 02d is sure to add support for them soon.

Where did you read that? I think the PCBs are of excellent quality and have never had any issue desoldering. They are better than KMAC for sure.

They're some of the most durable I've messed with.  I soldered/desoldered my duck 7 times without issue.

The latter.  First, I wanted different LED. Those LED interfered with my caps.  Then, different MX switches.  Then, ALPS switches.

did you even bother to go through the thread? it has been said multiple times already.

the second batch starts with analogblu

if there is no tracking next to your name BEFORE analogblu then it's because elton hasnt gotten it yet. holy **** it's not hard to figure out.
