HHKB Keycaps
« on: Fri, 14 December 2018, 18:30:40 »
Hey sorry if this has been answered a million times but I'm new here (what a surprise). Anyway I just bought a HHKB Pro 2 keyboard and was looking for some keycaps for it. But I haven't seen any nice Red and Black keycap sets. Anyone know any preferably in the EU.
Thanks,
Mario

I haven’t looked in along time but a quick google found me some caps here:
https://kbdfans.cn/collections/electrostatic-capacitive-keycaps

I would assume they ship worldwide.

As for stock topre caps, I don’t think they manufacture them anymore. Someone correct me if they started again.

I have not heard anything about new Topre keycap sets.

Originally only white and black sets (printed or blank) were available for HHKB.

The coloured sets were for RealForce.

Even WideBasket (eBay seller) has sold out.

A set with two color variants appeared on Massdrop today... thick PBT with dye-subbed characters and Russian characters.

like others have said, they no longer sell HHKB caps separately... seriously disappointing for the average topre collector.

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the HHKB 2 and the HHKB 2 Type S keycaps?

I recently was able to purchase a Type-S for a decent price - I was able to overlook the printed caps because of it.

I am really trying to purchase a set of the all white caps and I have seen some on Amazon. Has anyone purchased a set from AMA and confirm that they are really from PFU?

Nothing pro 2 and the type s the only difference is the slider. The Pro 2 uses regular non silent sliders and the Type S uses a bit longer sliders with silencing rings to compensate for travel loss.
