I have not seen the white RACE keycaps in person yet.  But I have. I reason to believe their quality is subpar.

Additionally, I have no idea whether these keycaps are PBT or not.  

Finally, at this time, there are not multiple LED colors to choose from.

I would recommend not to buy from attarian.  Over at deskthority.net, attarian calls DragonBro, a popular keyboard enthusiast from China, a dog indirectly.  He also sarcastically bad mouth Americans.  At best he is ignorant and stupid, not knowing his Chinese history.  At worst he discriminates against Chinese and Americans.   I would seriously question his ethics and integrity as an buying agent for buying goods in China and shipping to the USA.

All the keyboard come with Black keycaps, white led and green led are all "on the market" now.

I think iMav meant the white keycaps (optional add-on) are of lesser quality, not the LEDs themselves. Though it seems like there will be no white backlit version in this group buy, so you may have to look at other places like qtan's shop in the marketplace or individual sellers.

OT: While I agree that this thread may not be the best place to advertise his inventory, at least he presents an option for people looking for the white backlit version. To others looking for the white backlit version, qtan is also going to sell more white backlit boards although it will be more expensive than this group buy.

I believe he is referring to the white color set of cherry mx keycaps available, not the white LED-backlit model keyboard (which I believe only comes in the color black).

Yes, iMav has said he's not sure about the material, but I think they should be ABS, as I believe clear PBT doesn't exist (due to the porosity' and other reasons, I'm sure)

I would say white shows up to your eyes based on using Macbooks.  Even at the lowest brightness the visibility remained high.  Which is either good or bad depending on your preference.

I may be wrong but I believe the human eye is not as sensitive to red making it the most easy on the eyes at night.  I think it is more sensitive to yellow which probably makes up a small part of green since they are close on the color spectrum, however white light is made up of all colors so it would presumably have more yellow and other colors of light that your eye are most sensitive to.  Which makes green a better choice for being easy on the eyes as I see it.

That's what I was thinking as well, but I wasn't totally sure.

I think it's roughly 555 nm

I think this is related to the sun's black body colour temperature. Also, broad-spectrum lights are pretty harsh, and if you look at the emission spectra for white LED's it's got 2-3 "humps" in it, due to the emitter doping.

Green shows up really well at night, because a dim light will be pretty easily visible. Red is the opposite: we used red flashlights at the observatory, to keep our vision from being too impaired for view in the telescope.

Short answer: get the LED colour you like. It won't make a huge difference.
