I haven't decided to sell it but I have a Realforce 87u lightly used in great shape had it about half a year. It has new yellow keycaps from elitekeyboards that are only a few months old.

anyone have a ballpark estimate at what I could sell this for ?

Two quickies:

1) Nixdorf "twin brother" of NCR board, v.good condition [link]
2) "Space invaders" board (the one with yellowed plastic): [link] Missing some keycaps but overall working. Is it worth anything?

This would sell pretty fast for $160... with the scarcity of Topre replacement caps, you should be able to push $190, especially if it wasn't a daily driver for the entire 6 months. Anyway, that's just like, my opinion, man.

Have someone who's interested in this. How much is it worth? Disregard shipping.

$50 at most? It seems to be in rough condition and whoever buys it needs to have extra blue switches sitting around as well as a soldering iron.

If I were you I would probably fix it first if you could.

No, I can't fix it myself, hence why I'm selling it to someone who wants to learn how to solder and will use it as a test board, or someone who wants a cheap board and are able to fix it themselves. I've gotten an offer for $35, I might take it. No point in me having it here collecting dust. :p

How much would these doubleshot modifiers for Alps go for?
I want to keep the alpha keys because the Bulgarian pad-printing is awesome.

Condition, some slight yellowing around some of the keys.
Mind you, this picture is a bit overblown. The keys are more of a cream colour instead of the bright white you see here.

The problem with alps caps larger than one unit is they do not have the same stabilizers in all the keyboards. Price? I am not sure at all. Let the elders share their knowledge with us.

For reference, I sold entire Alps cap sets from Apple keyboards and some others for between $5 and $15.  Just the mods would go for less, especially since Alps boards tend to be more eclectic.  I'd say a max of $5, probably less. That's just me though.

If it were thicker Alps like you see on the old Toshiba laptops or if they were more unusual and interesting, they could go for more, but I they're not.  I also seem to remember that those Bulgarian Alps boards were fairly cheap on eBay to begin with.

So I'm aware there are different types of Model Ms that go for various amounts of money. I'm not sure how to identify the different types but the part # on the back of mine is 1391401.

Could anyone tell me how much I could sell it for?

Generally they sell for around $50-70 shipped, depending on condition.

Well it's clean. The keys are functional. Only think wrong I could really find wrong with it is that the F3 and Pause key covers are missing (not the entire caps, just the covers that go over them)

Not too much since they're lasered. I'd say maybe 10-20 quid tops.

I'd guess somewhere in the neighborhood of $120, though you might want to start higher and creep down.

(I'm basing this on reasoning, not data, haven't ever seen a board-only 30g for sale):

With the recent Massdrop buy, the bar for fullsize Topre boards has been set at ~$200. If you pulled the keys off of one of those, the board would probably be worth ~$90. It isn't easy to get a 104 key Topre set these days, so it's a tough sell. I figure the 30gs are worth a small premium since they are much less common, but not a huge premium, as 30g domes aren't really a hot item despite their scarcity. I'd say to start around $160 and work down... maybe you'll get lucky and find the right buyer, but I'm kind of guessing lower $100s will take it.

Of course, others are welcome to chime in.

Fair enough. Thanks. :)

Here is another one:
Niqmod modifiers. RGBY
Some small chips of the spacebar key from using a cap puller but I think pretty much all of them suffer from that.

And a Leopold FC660M with MX Greens. Black housing, grey keys. I think it was a Limited Edition.

No more than $110 shipped. Without the caps it's a hard sell.

I've sold a few RF boards without caps and never got above $100 for them.

Looking for a price check It is going to be an AEK II with what I believe to be cream alps.  Caps appear and feel like PBT with an ABS spacebar.  Modded with the following:

  • Teensy controller
  • Single switch PCB's
  • USB but keeping stock plugs on keyboard itself
  • USB pass through to other port with cable adapter to keep mouse functionality this might be up in the air though. If it doesn't happen than both ports will be usable to plug keyboard into PC.
  • Retrobrite case and spacebar.  other caps are PBT and I don't think they are yellowed enough to warrant the hassle
  • custom cables courtesy of Pexon if my research on the connectors is correct

I.e. you’re going to spend a bunch of time working on the board just to sell it? I doubt the price will be worth the time/work you put into it. But maybe it’s just fun to do. :-)

One from imsto? Used or brand new? He sold them in GB for 25$ so that would be a good price. If it's brand new you can add a bit for the shipping costs to you.

I'm not sure if it's from imsto. It came with a phantom kit I purchased from a forum member.

Not entirely certain -- it's something I'm looking at locally on kijiji. From the picture, it looks dusty and perhaps a bit yellowed, but it apparently still works and all that good stuff.

PC for an AT101W

condition? ???

Not entirely certain -- it's something I'm looking at locally on kijiji. From the picture, it looks dusty and perhaps a bit yellowed, but it apparently still works and all that good stuff.

Picture?, and a picture, and if it is possible post a picture...echoes...

Ah. So it's not really a good deal then.

In people's opinion, would it be worth getting the board for $15, or is it too likely to be disappointing? I can provide a link to the kijiji posting if you all like.

Hi,

IBM 42H1292 with attached cord, USA, 1/30/96.

It's a Buckling Spring model (not a rubber dome).

Worth cleaning up to sell?

I would be interested in this as well.  I have a Lexmark Model M as well but it will be getting a full bolt mod.

Also, what would be market value for a H.O. MX Clack be worth?  Not going to sell but the wife was wondering.

You'll probably be disappointed; even if you're able to clean it up cosmetically, the switches will probably be old and nasty. I recently got a new one for ~$50 on eBay. The extra money is worth it.
Please consider carefully before you decide to comment, for Jesus.

Yes, so long as the condition isn't too terrible (no massive scratches on the front, etc.)
