I think a great suggestion is the Razer Ornata Chroma. It is not really mechanical but neither is Topre. So there you go. Razer is generally my last recommendation but this is interesting. You are going to fall into a cycle costing you more money. A sub $200USD board usually does not last. So you keep buying $80USD keyboards and after 3 boards you are at the $200 because they fail. The Ornata might fair better exactly because it is not mechanical. Logitech is nice too if you must have actual mechanical.

Aha, I do agree with Typo in some aspects, A quality board is a good investment and will last you a lifetime if you take care of it while if you do in fact go for cheaper budget boards, they are known to have more build quality issues and in my case with the budget boards I've tried, a less satisfying experience.  :thumb:

If you can, save more and do some research and see what you like for the meantime then when you do have enough money, you know what to buy!

Depends if you really need full RGB, but there are plenty of low-cost options that feature "rainbow" LED backlighting on Amazon, from Aukey and other brands, if you want to keep costs down.

I disagree with the others.
OP doesn't know what they want, so go cheap until you find the switch you want, then spend the money on a nice board.

Buy the cheapest RGB(?) mechanical you can with a switch that sounds like what you might like (I would recommend starting with browns if you are unsure).

Get a Corsair board.  You should be able to pick one up for close to 75.  They've the best quality for the best price.

Corsair, good quality / price balance. As a matter of fact, you can even get one of those mx speed with rgb!
