hi there!
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Things I hate: When you are trying to contribute something to a conversation and someone cuts you off like you are not even there.

I think my problem is that I am not nearly loud enough, so you do not hear me over the attention-seekers and alpha male wannabes. Sometimes group conversations are almost like shouting matches. No one even appreciates the content of what the other person is saying. It becomes about something else. That is when I decide stay out of the conversation. After the shouting match is done sometimes people ask me why I'm quiet. I was not quiet, you were entirely too loud.

My family does this to me all the time.

What's worse is that whenever I raise my voice above the din, they have the testicular fortitude to say "You know it's rude to interrupt people."

Most recently I asked my girlfriend whether it is a bad idea to hang out with some friends on a weekday, knowing that I have to get up 06.00 the next morning (we were gonna see guardians of the galaxy).
Her: "That is a terrible idea"
Me: "Hmm, you are probably right." *proceeds to order tickets online*

Haha. It annoys me more when It's,  as The Mad Professor put it, "window-licking stupid" but also also a life altering decision. Where there's really only one sensible and rational decision but despite all the advise against it they do it anyway.

And then when they come complaining about how things went wrong and asking for more advise... Son, you better check yourself before you wreck yourself.

dood, it's usually relationship problems too, so it makes it even worse :'( and they're usually dumb**** obvious things too... UGH. what makes it worse is that when you tell them, "i told you so...", you end up looking like the bad guy, even though they're the ones dun goof'd.

Some people I swear. Doesn't matter how much you care about them and don't want to see them hurt. No amount of rational discussion can change it. Feelings are weird.

yeah, dood. i 100% empathize with you... i usually just laugh at them now and tell them they're dumbasses. usually gets the mood to lighten up and gets the message across smoother. if you try to be serious about it, they end up just getting more upset. sometimes they just need a loved one to tell them to get their **** together, instead of just telling them what they want to hear.

I despise school food. Michelle Obama can kiss my ass.

Whatever floats your boat, pal... No judgement here.

I used to like it and now everything is tiny and cardboard flavored. I'm just bringing in my own snacks now.

Having to retweak my PC after an OS reinstall.  Oh well, I have it down to where I can install the OS, install critical drivers, and be back in game in an hour.

There are some good tools out there that make this easier to do, can't remember what the Windows one is called, but it's basically a package manager for Windows. If you frequently reformat, it's probably worth writing your own script to get reconfigured. Lots of people store their configuration files and install scripts on GitHub.

Hayfever season.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

OH HELL NAW! People who attempt that get slapped.

I hate my hair in the morning. It has a tendency to develop a dorsal fin. I'm serious.
