/rant ...Well, the worst feeling recently is that people are all stockholm syndrome with video game devs/pubs/standards. They feel the NEED to defend against a nay-sayer, like myself, who says, "This could be better- if you agree with me just stop buying and voice your opinions."
People have told me not to boycott, not to speak out, and not to want more. Then when confronted with an exceptional title which everyone agrees breaks the mold one could shout, "I told you so!" Shout it all you want... these pushovers love the result someone put into the genre-changing title but go back to investing tons of time/money into games like the latest Sim City. I don't want to criticize how people spend their time, nor am I arguing that people can't have fun with what is available. I am saying that if people feel the need to criticize so much don't treat others like a therapist and vent, and if someone suggests boycotting or speaking out against the crap X-dev/pub wiped on the wall then please respect that person.
This is a sentiment I carry about many subjects, and the fact that people's complacency has changed to blind promotion of policies/practices is just a sign that maybe something about the modern world is rotting our brains.
