M6-A
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rama Works is proud to celebrate the new M6 Limited Collection. The companion sized keyboard fits perfectly between the M4-A and M10-A previously launched by Rama Works. This keyboard represents a long awaited return for Rama Works in the keyboard community. The M6 Limited Collection will only be available during the short pre-order period in November and will never be available again. To reiterate, this is the only chance to own this landmark entry in the Rama Works catalogue.

The board offers up the best of signature Rama Works aesthetic. The entire board is CNC-Machined Brass, using similar coating methods, tools and techniques used in the production of high-end watches. The M6 sports a hand-polished mirror finish across the entire board (Collectors Edition only), which offers that elevated level of personal detailing. In an effort to foster relationships with beginners and aficionados alike, the M6 includes switches that require no soldering thanks to the new Kailh sockets. Although they can be ‘hot-swapped’ without soldering, they are still plate-mounted for an extra level of stability.

Hotswappable & Solderless Assembly

What's included?
1 x Top Enclosure (Brass)

1 x Base Enclosure (Brass)

1 x Polishing Cloth

Hmmm, you have a good point - not entirely the right section :P Perhaps could have this moved to Groupbuys somehow (admins, help pls  :p )

For sure!

So the outside of these caps are mirror polished and the inside (underside) is beadblasted.

From left to right is Mercury, Moon & Rose:

It attracts finger prints relatively easily - best I can describe it as similar to chrome/stainless kitchen wear. I'll take some photos later tonight with how it attracts finger prints on the different colors :) A custom cleaning cloth is also included!

So if this is something that'll be used daily. Might be a good idea to get a blasted?

I think if finger prints really irk you probably best to go with bead-blasted for sure :) The base is still mirror polished, but the main body is blasted :)

Hope that helps! Else, I'll still take some photos later for ya as well :D

oh Hi!  :)
10 layers.... so good to hear since I would have needed a way more if it was stricted to 2~4.
By far, I don't know how to access all of them either :D I might put a map inside my wallet (?)
I actually have one more question, is there an indicator showing the layer we are staying at?

Great design work Rama! And also very nice video :)

Love how you solved the interchangeability of the switches and also that you went full brass to give it 3 times the weight. (Tungsten version, when?)

Not sure if I'll get one myself yet, but I'm definitely very tempted.

One cool thing is that you can actually use the included XO Reset Pin to assemble/disassemble the entire device too :) No tools/screwdriver required at all :D

Man, I think the shipping price would surpass the M6 if it was made of tungston :P Always wanted to do something in that material though, it really is a confusingly heavy metal haha.

And no worries at all, definitely not for everyone  :p

Since the in-switch LEDs are individually controllable, I suppose it's possible to use them as layer indicators.

They are PVD coated instead of Anodized, so it's a little different - But i'd say the silver is pretty damn close, I'll compare it properly to a reference when I have a moment :)

Here's a photo of the silver (the beadblasted is the inside):

I was wondering the same thing. Thanks for putting up this video! Super-stoked about M6-A! Undecided about the colorway/coating. For example, I'm wondering how compatible Rose is with various keycap colors without looking off. The same with how well the mirror finish will go with the not-so-shiny surface of plastic keycaps. So far, leaning towards Moon because that gray looks to go well with pretty much anything. :)

Rose will look great with all monotone coloured caps (white's/grey's/blacks) and dark navy.
Grey and Mercury will go with anything really since it's a neutral base. I can mock up a few combo's to inspire tomorrow night when I'm at a computer again to help out :D

Whoo! You're on a roll here! Looks wonderful! :)

You have me over on a Moon. Just somewhat undecided on coating. Mirror polish looks damn classy though.

Yeah it's a really tricky choice, the mirror is definitely baller - but all down to preference! Toss a coin I reckon :P

Just did this quickly, will do some nicer/proper ones when I have time <3

On the queue with Signature Plastics for the Doubleshot DSA caps, payment is through and they've estimated Mid-January for completion. Will keep on them and push for the ETA to be kept :)
