Hi guys, we are about 4 months into production as of now. 70% of the orders will be shipped by the of this week. The remainings are the boards in blue/blue-grey and some that require rework. Yuktsi, I love your attention to detail and self deprecation. All the best artists, or people in general, have a high level of humility. The speed of this group buy is easily the fastest I've been a part of, even with the blue-gray issue, and the work speaks for itself.

This may be reaching, but would you mind showing us the failed QC for the blue-gray? Was it manufacturing flaws, or a color issue? I would really LOVE to see the blue-gray, if that is indeed accurate!

Wow very nice :thumb: Yuktsi's blue gray makes the decision of picking between gray or blue gray harder than ever if your preference is a darker shade of color. Very happy with gray myself but the blue gray does look insanely good! I honestly think all colors look equally good across the board. Just boils down to preference. Jane v2 is just the pinnacle of mechanical keyboard - true symbol of perfection.

EDIT:  Okay, I opened it up.  Floored by the gray, guys.  It's amazing.  I won't even try to take photos b/c my camera sucks and lighting makes a ton of difference, but it's superb.  Just you wait and see.

The only issue I have is the weight on the back.  It's shiny, but certainly not quite the mirror finish like the M60-A back.  I can still see a lot of lines from the polishing.  Maybe it's just the difference between polished SS and PVD coating?  It's not a deal-breaker or anything.  Just making sure they are all that way  ;)

Yeah I’ve noticed a few things from the pvd process on my weight, just the way things be.

That said a brushed brass finish would look so good on this gray.

The highly reflective mirror finish is created by continuing the progression of finer abrasives and adding in a polishing compound, the process is extremely labor-intensive and time-consuming. Thus, the micro lines on the weight were accepted. While it's more prone to flaws and scratches, that's why the bigger backplate is matte finished.

Personally, I like the better touch from the bare stainless steel and don't need to worry about the durability of the coating. You can always further enhance the surface with polishing compound.

I didn’t realise it was bare and I assumed pvd. My bad- this is phenomenal!!

Built with spring-lubed only tealios (tub lubed springs with 3204 and even extra added to the base of each spring), and lubed zeal stabilizers.

Typing feels and sounds out-of-this-world amazing. F row and number row still a bit more firm than the home row, but much closer than other boards I have.

Here's a potato pic.  Not keeping blue alert on it, but it was the fist set I picked out of the pile for testing, and... R5 master race?  Going to try out muted, miami nights, led zep, and 9009 later.
