Got my Jane yesterday and built it up, loving it so far. These are the 2 options I had on it, NCR Dyesubs and HFO, liking HFO more atm. Thanks Yuktsi for such a nice board.

I am OBSESSED with the WINKEY, and use my keyboards tirelessly for work purposes.

I've programmed the WINKEY into so many workflows. It's the best <3

I mean surely everyone who gets WKL gets it for the aesthetics. You can't really argue there's any functional benefit to losing two keys for two blockers. It's purely an aesthetic decision.

Hey, it's the regular dark gray one, probably the lighting makes it look blueish. It still is a very cold gray though, probably also the reason it goes so well with HFO gray. I really love the combination, it just looks amazing.

If anyone of you has problems with your pcb disconnecting, apparently reflowing and soldering a bit extra on the 5 usb port solderjoints fixes these issues. Brendan told us that on the kb-kustoms channel and it so far worked for keyboarduser4 and me, who both had problems with it.

These five guys below. I also added kapton tape around the usb port to isolate it, the reflowing and soldering is probably what fixed it though.

What do you program Backspace and the other keys to? I see you still build the board in a standard layout even though you use Colemak (and stepped caps key to boot for what would be backspace!!). I use split backspace on every board I own, and I am apprehensive to build my Jane with it due to all the backlash split bs gets on TKLs. I will do it anyways cause it's my board, but still.

Backspace = backspace as well. Because I haven’t decided on another use for it and I still like it to hammer on sometimes. I’ve split backspace on my smaller boards, but I’m still not settled on a layout for those. Tbh, I’ve gone more towards classic layouts over time cos they generally look nicer and are easier to fit old caps to. As long as you have a fn key you can have everything you want anyway. And with Colemak I’ve stopped even wanting the correct caps, there’s very few sets that have them and I’m used to using it with qwerty legends anyway. Also I have qwerty on a separate toggled layer because I often use that for gaming and for shortcuts in design software where I’m not doing any typing. And that is the story of how I met my layout. plug into a USB port directly on the back of your PC, not through a hub

if that doesn't work, sometimes restarting fixes it
