Two questions about "keys with integrated LED"
« on: Sun, 15 May 2011, 06:50:26 »
My first question would be: does any IBM Model M (or Unicomp or Lexmark or Tulip etc. variant) have keys with integrated LED?

And my second question (not related to Model M's): how does it work?  I mean, how does the power get there in the key?

OMG. The led is not integrated into the keys. The led is integrated into the switch.
Those keycaps have a window.

As you can see there is a hole in every switch for the led. The led goes through those hole and then soldered to the printed circuit board.

Ah cool.  Of course.  Silly me :)

Thanks for the picture :)
