Double post to add some pictures of this new set that I received on Friday! I believe they are Joey Quinn's old "faded grape ape" set, which is why I took some pics to compare them to a true Grape Ape set!  :)

Thanks! I just added an edit to my original post.  I believe they are Joey Quinn's old "faded grape ape" set, which is why I took some pics to compare them to a true Grape Ape set! So they have a bit of purple in them, although do look quite clear in certain lights.

Anyone know how to make the fit tighter on Topre artisans?

Just put a tape around the stem. Don't go round the whole stem. Try doing half of the circumference first.

I had this problem, Bro said to just press hard to clear any excess that's in the way.

You really have to press hard, and it won't go on all the way at first but if you press hard and then remove it and repeat a few times it'll free it up enough so that it can go all the way onto the stem. It'll still be tight though so if you have a spare switch laying around use that or be careful not to pull up too hard without wiggling.

As awesome as my Grumpkin looks on my HHKB, I unfortunately can't get it to stay. it doesn't snap into place and falls out when I put the keyboard upside down. This can pose a problem because I take my HHKB with me to work and back. Wouldn't want such an awesome keycap to fall out and get lost. It also doesn't help that I didn't get the other half of my package, my Bloodlust Lycan. :(

Many artisans come kinda loose for Topre as it's hard to get the click adjustment rights (same with MX). Tape usually works like magic to fill in those small gaps :3

Really lovin' the Grumpkin design; the details on this baby are off the charts! Definitely my fav. sculpted design by Bro yet!

Many people have reported that. I couldn't get mine on a switch without widening the stem with a small screwdriver. Putting it on and taking it off a couple dozen times helps after you get it on for the first time.

I did pretty much this but with a spare MX switch (did Blue and Clear) with my 2spooky, which I thought just had a faulty stem, but ended up being a small amount of excess plastic in the stem hole. I pretty much just loosened up the excess plastic inside the stem hole (there was a private reference made for this method between me and Bro...lol). Putting it on and off a couple times did the trick, and now it's a perfect fit (snug but not too tight it feels like it's going to break the switch off).

So whats the general consensus for grumpkins not fitting? Stick it on a extra switch on/off until it loosens up or take a small screwdriver to it?

Do whatever works. I'd go with the extra switch first because it's an exact fit/match to the stem hole... You will need to give a lot of force, depending on how tight it is. I know my 2spooky was super tight. I just rammed it in there was no turning back. Once it popped it, it went in easier every time afterwards, and got to be a better fit each time.

I'm so glad that I wrote it in such a manner. Bravo ~

It's funny because the whole process/method was described as breaking a h.... when I was talking about it with Bro. LEWL. Need to get me head out of the gutter.

Perfect! Thanks. Someone sent me a picture of one and it surprised me due to the thickness of the MX ones, but I guess that has more to do with Topre switches than anything else and I didn't think of that till just now. I feel dumb.  :-[
