Title: Odd key output on Advantage
Post by: cruzin on Sat, 23 August 2014, 16:15:04
The key right below the x ( \ ) outputs § (or ± using shift). That's after I reset it to default. According to sales at Kinesis, that's not the default output and they think the previous owner reprogrammed the key.

I've tried deleting any macros associated with it, but it's not working. Yes, I know I can just remap it to something else, but I'm curious how the key's default could've been reprogrammed.

That key should be International1 key, usb id 135 NonUS/| key, usb id 0x64. What character does it produce in a text editor depends on what keyboard layout is selected in the OS.

Kinesis documentation claims it is International key, but obviously it is not (at least not USB International key).

Good to know, thanks!
