I'm not sure if I can recommend it or tell people to avoid it at this point.  It visually looks great, and the acting seems strong, but I'm not so sure on the writing.

I've not said anythung overly positive (or negative) about it so far, but if you are going to embark on this, give it until e3 before pulling the plug.

The Great British Baking Show.

Just flipped through an episode on utube.. Season 8 epi 10,

One of their challenge, they had to draw an oval,  and NO ONE knew how to draw a nice oval ?

What are they teaching in british skools.. ??

An Ellipse has 2 foci, you take a string pinned to the two points.. this will give you the Top of the oval.  Then you take the string out to the length of the minor axis and draw a circle in the center,  this will give you the bottom of the oval..

Alternatively, you could do the circle first.

Not sure about the females part as I'm not one but yes it is misogynistic but that is just one aspect of the show. The show portrays many of the issues in the U.S. during the 60's.

It probably has something to do with how Females love experiencing the Demise of OTHER females..

Hahahahaha..   Hrrrrrrrmm..

If we think about how females must've ran the tribe,  their evolved personality must've been more exclusive to ensure the narrower survival circle of her own offspring and close family members..

Most peeps agree older organizations were mainly matriarchal ..

The seasons set in the early-mid 1960s were excellent. They spent too much time on the late-1960s and too little in the earlier era.

The show really burned out as it ground to an end, in my opinion.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

She thought it was a great ending. I thought it was incomprehensible, pretentious, and lame.

Been getting into True Detective Season 3 and it's been a pretty good season thus far considering the complete failure that was season 2, but episode 4 just blew me completely away. From front to back it is a masterclass in subtlety and story telling. The acting, the writing, the plot points in this episode just left me agape. We are absolutely living in a Golden Age of television boys and girls, this episode is an accomplishment in characterization and story telling of the utmost caliber.

Maybe I am overselling a bit I dunno, but it was a very very good episode.

Finally got around to watching season 1 of Discovery.

Good but different.  Definitely emits a from a comic book vibe.  It's a shame that the tech continuity is a hot mess.

If I was to describe it I'd say someone meshed the best aspects of the original series with The Expanse, and perhaps a mild sprinkling of late 90's scifi channel.

Yes, looks like it, but it's more like animated Black Mirror.
I watched two first episodes and both were nice. Pity they are short, like 10-12 minutes.

Watched E1..

/Solid action show/

NSFW warning.

The violence was so intense, at a few scenes Tp4 had to do squint and look away, hahahaha..

Makes one somewhat worried about young people who may grow up on this stuff.

But, we have dog-fighting...

-- it's comparable, because the acts involved illicit the same mental state as an outcome,  are consumers of digi-violence really all that different from consumers of real-violence.

hrrrm...  it remains to be seen if our dystopian future emerges.

Tp4 couldn't watch xfiles back then, didn't speka englash..

When y'all say it still holds up , is that like an OG TOS startrek feeling holds up, or does it ACTUALLY hold up like TNG..

TNG should become primary liberal studies K-12,   Everything you need to know to be a human being.

It holds up in that the stories and effects still work. The show's content rarely feels dated, even though it's set in the '90s.
