Mashby's always given me the time of day, quick to help with ANYTHING, even real life stuff. Mashby's an all around good guy.
To be specific, if he doesn't know an answer he will help you find it, he sells things for fair prices, is a great communicator, he even offered me his cell number in case I had any troubles when I told him I was traveling through his area one time.

This giveaway needs more *stories*. So I nominate mkawa.
Last year around October, mkawa welcomed me into his home when I decided that I would travel with dorkvader on a cross country (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=48816.0), Geekhack related roadtrip. He let me break stuff on Smallfry, his Makerbot 3D printer. I designed a solder spool on kawa keyboard. We figured out the best way to lube my Epsilon. But best of all? We had a moment at the Japanese market. I was SO CRAVING ice cream since it was like...75 and sunny that day. We're shopping for snacks at the market near his place. So I'm like man...I want this green tea ice cream.
Ming gets excited.
I don't think you guys understand what it's like when Ming's excited. When he's happy, I get jealous because I watch him and I realize I'll never be as excited and happy as he is in that exact moment. It's like distilled giddiness was poured into his cereal. He got excited and was like NO. WE'RE GETTING THIS SHAVED ICE CREAM. My brain melts and I'm like, wtf is shaved ice cream. Halverson and Smallfry were probably the two nicest people to me when I first started. I kept going back to them for their knowledge bombs and because they were friendly. Plus I thought Girlshark was a lady and well...you know (just kidding). We talk quite often on Whatsapp and Girlshark recently visited me.
We're riding around in the car (Wow, I have a lot of car stories...) and he had changed the Sirius radio station from CBC to Hip Hop Nation. Now the whole weekend, most every rap song that came on, Halverson would do a car dance and say, "I'm riding spinners, I'm riding spinners". All of a sudden, the Three 6 Mafia song actually comes on.
All of a sudden, he starts doing this dance where he let's go of the steering wheel, puts his hands behind his head, and flaps his elbows. I think that was the happiest he was all weekend. Hearing a song he had been referencing all weekend. And I'm laughing so hard I'm about crying. He explains to me there's some spoof video where a LoL character is dancing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTEgwaPNmOg) like that to the same song. So after we yell at him to grab the wheel, we all start dancing like that in the car.
Halverson and I got FUNKY in his car and it was an awesome moment.

I'll tell two mashby stories.
Mashby told me the *best* business idea ever. Turns out that he played a lot of WoW and knows about the gamer culture. We were talking about tech support for some reason when I went to Nashville to meet up with him. The idea is, we need tech support but we need cheap tech support right? Well what kind of people are going to be available for a few hours, sitting at a desk, and able to take a phone call? A hardcore WoW player. Think about it. Give the gamer a phone, let them go on a raid, and tell him they need to answer the phone and follow instructions on how to fix something. If they can't fix it, bump it to level 2. The person who needs tech support gets a reliable person who can answer the phone. The gamer gets to get paid to play WoW. It's a perfect plan!
Last year, mashby drove me to Keycon. On the way home we were a little tired and there was quite a long drive ahead. So we're just talking and we start talking about TV shows we like. I discover mashby is really into Firefly. I'm not sure I'm that into it so he spent a while talking about it. Actually, he was so excited about Firefly that he missed....two or three exits on the highway trying to convert me into a Browncoat.
I like these stories because I think they remind me of what mashby is like. He get's really excited about something, dives deep into the topic, and tries to spread his love and enthusiasm of that thing. He's inspired me and given me ideas to start projects like the Clack Info Thread.

If I had to nominate one person it would be OverKill. The reason for this was all from one night in the IRC. I was asking him some questions on his small form factor keyboard, and I asked him to look over the files for my custom board. Well, turns out he uses the same CAD program I am using for work. So, he started giving me some tips on how to fix the method I used to build the files. Long story short he just said screw it, go to this site and punch in this code.
I go to the site and punch in the code. Turns out I am looking at his desktop with my files on it loaded up in SolidWorks. I can see his mouse moving around going through menus and can see him asking if I can hear him on my headset. I can't so he gives me his personal cell phone number on the spot and he gives me a 45 minute to an hour lesson on working in SolidWorks in a way that won't let me accidentally click and drag something to the wrong spot and not know it.
My second nomination would be Tym, with whom i played some dota. He put up with some of my rage and was really friendly and reasonable.:-*

There's a few people who come to my mind:
- CPTBadAss - I would call him my role model when I joined GH. Super kind guy who likes to help everybody. He knows a lot even though he is so new.
- nubbinator - for making awesome, creepy and sometimes derpy keycaps! He also sent me some caps in colours I chose for free - thanks again!
- Binge - another capcrafter who I think puts a lot of passion into his keycaps and makes them super detailed. I watched him stream crafting caps once and it was awesome :thumb:
- mkawa - for his huge knowledge about lube and generally technical stuff. He can explain anything really well and really detailed.
- Photekq - Cherry enthusiast is really fitting I think. His collection seems to grow everyday and I hope this trend continues :D
- epzy - good guy who somehow really had a rocket start with keyboards! You rarely see someone who gets into this hobby this much this quick.

The GH60 project is an excellent community project and is what made me stop just lurking and register as a user (now I'm mostly a lurker with the ability to post) . I've been following the GB for a bit over a year and watched it progress, and like everybody else how is participating in this GB, I'm really looking forward to the end of it. This huge undertaking is handled by only a handful of dedicated community members who offer up their spare time for the rest of us. When the project started to look like it had stagnated a lot of people raised their voices in discontent for the lack of progress. Some people might just not have known what they signed up for when they joined a community driven project, and some people just like to see the world burn. But one man/bro stepped up and took time out out of his life to have all the plates for the boards manufactured and helping to get this ship back on course.

I'm going to pop in mx blues + silver switch stickers + 55g gold springs + clear switch top covers. So they have a nice click to it. Then a small 3V battery, white LEDs, and colored translucent polycarb keys from SP so that they light up when pressed.

Wildcard took it upon himself to salvage the Phantom PCB R2 group buy from Bavman. He communicated with Bavman, drove to another town to pick up the goods, and then got everything distributed to the people who had been left hanging. Wildcard didn't have to do this.

skcheng has always been an awesome dude to just chat with and i have learned so much about the inner workings of a keyboard from him. He is always down to help you out when **** hits the fan. A couple months ago i broke one of my dream keyboards and butchered the pcb when i tried to bring it back to life. I was chatting with him on how i can fix it, and he said he would fix it free of charge. After he received my pcb he told me i striped the tracers and burned some of my pcb (embarrassing right?) well he noticed Bunnylake was selling the exact board i wrecked, bought it for me, and surprised me with it... skcheng wouldn't take any money at all no matter how much i threw it at him.
Last week we were discussing BS boards and how i never tried one, he sent me an AT-F to try for how ever long i need it for... amazing dude!
I would like to nominate Nubbinator.
Ive purchased 2 caps from him in the past few weeks. First I had contacted him about a custom cap and he promptly made it, I received 2 caps (1 free and a Nub Bag). Second I purchased one cap in his recent sale and again received 2 caps in the mail. Nubbinator is an epic and deserving bro

I'd like to nominate Naasfu-bro as a Comrade-bro-in-arms simply because I enjoy talking about this hobby with him a lot. I have about 400 PMs and I think his PM probably dominated more than half of it. He's very open to share his views and I could see he spent a lot of time to write. But most importantly, his passion for all things Bro and Clacks is very contagious. His photos of his Clack collection are like some voodoo magic that brings out the lust inside me to seek out more Bros and Clacks. I may be blinded by all these beauties but Naasfu always smack me back to reality (ie I need to watch my spending). So, while he may be the devil that lure me with his photos, he's also the angel that talk sense back into me. Which is why he's the Comrade Bro whom I can depend on and whom I trust who will talk sense into me!
My second nominee is TheBinary for his sudden out-of-this-world generosity and offer to help me out with my collection. He doesn't need to do so, me being a noob and newbie but he did so and that was like having a King of CC collection suddenly bestowing a kindness to a peasant and along the way got to know each other more and I find that he's a really honorable man that stood by his words and have a very strong code of conduct. He may have some challenges he's facing but he has a very positive mindset and I learned a lot from him on being positive with to our outlook in life. Besides, he needs to grow his Bro collection, so this is a good time as ever! :)
My third nominee is atlas because he's my therapy Bro. Usually we both missed on the sales dibs and we would cry on each other shoulder and generally encourage each other to not give up. Sounds cheesy but that's what your therapy pal is for. Otherwise it's the end of te world, as I know it. And now that I have somehow missed the Magarita clack dibs, I need to seek out my friend atlas for therapy again.

He told me the other day that it was his first Pelikan and now it's my first Pelikan. That's so awesome. This pen will probably never leave my collection. But maybe I'll gift it to someone one day like terrpn did for me.
