Correct, the gasmask will be a different height (higher) than the right shift key. As for the escape keycap, the whole top row is the same profile.

Nice man welcome to the club! I gave into HHKB after a month here :p I love it! The blanks will fit good on the top row and as far as function the stock fn key is angled very steep. BUT I put clacks there all the time which as the same height as gasmasks. So as long as it doesn't bother you! You can put it on any switch(slider) you want :p

Any key will go there we are talking about the same profile as the HHKB fn key.
