I love you guys, but I hate SA. What to do?

I'll probably buy it anyway because of the people promoting it.

Is there any chance the "`~" and "\|" keys could be included in both colors so people could chose between the classic and the symmetrical look?

Too bad, but of course I respect this decision.

Another question:

I am not an expert on SA keys, but if I am not mistaken there were always issues with the profile of the shift keys, because Signature Plastics doesn't have the correct molds.

Has this been fixed yet?

Correct, as it stands now, Shifts will all be Row 3 profile, as before. When and if Signature Plastics is willing to correct this glaring oversight on their part, we would love to have the correct Row 4 profile Shifts included. If they become available after the group buy ends, I plan to do a "Shifts-only" GB for the correct profile caps.

Much as I love the colours that is one hell of a lot of keycaps to do a JD40!

At a glance it looks like you'd only need to add another set of letters to populate a full size in ISO as well...

Heh, almost anyway. A few bottom row 1.25 mods would be missing, as well.

You could always sell the numpad kit to someone looking to fill a Goldtouch or Filco numpad or GHpad! :)

Nice design JD! If I end up liking SA I'll be in.

I'm in the process of changing over from months of DSA, I lost 10wpm. It's real strug.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

Why not a carpe keyboards key and a ctrlalt key then those can be used with the top row geek hack keys.

Or I'll just buy some of the blanks from SP like I did for penumbra  :))

Might have to go for this.

SA is by far the best profile that SP makes. Loving the fully contoured too rather than uniform row 3.

hmmmm

can't stand SA or ABS....but contoured SA is interesting and a JD40 is small enough to keep in storage AND it won't have the bad rshift.

will think more about it when prices come out

Yeah, we are working on getting a quote for this, and trying to keep it as close to $100 or so per set as we can. By eliminating "child" kits, the base is only slightly more expensive than buying strictly alphas and mods, and you don't have to add $25 for a numpad, $15 for ISO, $20 for Tsangan, $20 for JD40, etc.

When do you expect these to appear on the [CTRL}ALT website?

As SmallFry would say... Soon™

I know its probably convention, but why its the "\" key always the same colors as the alphas instead of the mods? To me it looks much cleaner, especially on a 60% if it matches the other mods.

Any chance for colemak/dvorak keys in the correct profile? I'd love to get in on this, but idk.

I fell in love with the contoured SA when I got my Pulse set.

Looks great.

I'm unsure how I feel about SA since I've never tried it so I'm still torn on this..

I wish the Mods and Alphas were the same color.  I rather that look and I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
