Price Check- What's it Worth?
« on: Sat, 26 May 2012, 19:38:59 »
Wondering what something's worth, but not necessarily sure you want to sell it? Post here and people will let you know. I'll try to keep a running table of values as people ask and others answer.

I highly recommend you stay away from asking about CC key appraisals as they tend to be a bit controversial. If you really don't know what to ask for it, put it up for auction [on eBay]. Posts pertaining to them in this thread will likely be deleted. Thanks!

KEEPER OF THE FAITH EDIT: All inquiries into the current value of Clack Factory artisan keycaps should be directed to the Clack Valuaion thread.

Also, please try to be as detailed as possible in your description of the item(s) for which you are requesting a price check. It helps others to give you a more accurate value of the item in question.

Risen from the dead for a model F.

Wyse buy colors were GSY for the dark grey, GBA for the light grey, and BBI for the fonts.

Fixing a real number for this item is hard. It is the only blank tricolor "officially sold" by cc. It was sold by EK for $19 USD. As a reference most of the single color skulls sold by EK, were sold for $ 9 cc and some of them have been sold for more than $40.

IMHO its price is base on the offert/demand.
Whatever number you get from someone around here is base on "pure expeculation ".

Wyse sets, I say $20-30, depend on condition. Some may be willing to pay little more for thick set instead of gambling on ebay.
Poker ABS, good luck... little interest in them but $10 is a good starting price.
CC stuff... it would be nice if the community would put some fixed values on them, like 20% mark up limit for example, but free market and all.

Have got a few new Ducky Keychain.

Was wondering how much do they worth to resell?

I saw someone selling in classified @ 20 USD.

Is that expensive or cheap?

The market for Model Ms is a little lacking. Used, maybe $30-$40. NIB, maybe $70-$100? The NIBs vary widely depending on the demand.

It sounds well used. I would say probably around $100-$115 shipped.

Quite truthfully I got the keychains for about $16 each so basically selling off the extras to cover the cost of the few that I want to keep. I'm gonna hold off for now so that adieumyeyol can sell his and buy his keyboard.

Contrary to popular belief, these keychains are damn rare even in Singapore even though its in Asia. I am also curious about the production of the switch base.

Thanks, however it's actually not well used.
It's the last Filco keyboard I bought(about 3months) and I've tried it for several times and it didn't grow on me.
The total usage is definitely less than a week since I switch keyboards about every 2 days. The blue Filco never lasted 2 days.
I am planning to sell all of my Filcos since I've already found MY favorite keyboards, HHKBs.
I will include detailed pictures when post here. Based on the additional info above, would you reconsider the price?
Thanks again.

Double Shots: The set's incomplete, and looks a bit yellowed. Maybe $20, if you can find someone after the uniqueness? What're they from?

Hello all,

A couple years back I bought four IBM Model Ms locally from a guy on craigslist. Among the four were two that stood out in particular. Their part numbers are 1393464 and they had legends on the side of the keycaps printed in green. I couldn't find much information on these keyboards other than they were used in airports for ticketing information and airline reservations. They're in pretty good condition with all the original key caps. If I could get some information on how much they're worth, I'd really appreciate it (I could use the cash for a quieter keyboard for the dorms in fall). I can take pictures if necessary also.

Thank you.

These have certainly very nice keycaps (maybe not as nice as Ripster's Madoff ones but still very cool).

Clickykeyboards have detailed pictures of the keycaps:

http://www.clickykeyboards.com/index.cfm/fa/items.main/parentcat/9523/subcatid/0/id/102599

Take quality pics of these rare keycaps, post one of your two 1393464 on eBay, mention the auction here and you'll find out how much it is worth once the auction ends.

I got them off an old rubber dome keyboard. The WASD set is engrave black except for blue W A S and D key with orange esc key. Pretty simple

Originally the Linear-Rs sold for around $150 (considered expensive before the current pricing of Filcos).  Now a days, considering condition, it ranges between 175-240 for the time being. I say this because new Filcos are going to be readily available with Red switches at the KeyboardCo. soon and prices should be around $150-160.

How much would a 104 white blank/engraved ABS key cap set sell for on GH? I know WASDkeyboards sell them for about $40 but I would assume people would sell them for cheaper, seeing that 104 white engraved PBT's occasionally go for $30.

How much would a brand new cherry beige DS and a like-new beige cherry DS set be worth? The like-new one was from a computer in a clean room that was used rarely and only on the top row and enter keys.
If you live in AZ you can try my keyboards. I usually keep plenty of different ALPS and MX and buckling springs.

ANSI or ISO? (or something else?)

If it's an ANSI-US set, the brand new one could easily sell for $70+, and the used (like new) set between $45-60+.

If it's an ISO set, probably around the same price or a little cheaper, since these are a little more available, especially in EU.

They're both ANSI. Thanks for your help!
If you live in AZ you can try my keyboards. I usually keep plenty of different ALPS and MX and buckling springs.
