Best linear switch nowadays (2026)
Shimene:
I hadn't really looked into Keygeek before. The Y3s sound interesting though, especially if they're noticeably smoother than Oil Kings. I'll have to give them a try sometime.

I still have a gripe with keygeek though. I’ve used 3 different keygeek sets, including the Y3s and they all develop a little tick. You can make it happen by tapping on the bottom edge of a keycap. It’s a rather annoying high pitched tick that doesn’t sit well with me. I’ve desoldered 2 of 3 boards with keygeek. I’d say if you try them out, make sure to use a hotswap board.

Gateron Clears and never look back or just switches in general with 30g 35g. Once you make the switch you can never go back because your fingers are in heaven.

Gateron Clears? Are they nice and smooth? prelubed? I prefer stock, so needs to be prelubed.

I got those gateron milky switches and swapped their weird double stage springs with TX super long 22mm 67g. Pretty nice. I almost cannot tell the difference between 67g and 80g.
