I think my GF might like one keyset like this as a Valentine Day's gift:



The "Valentine" keyset will be a double-shot, WYSE font keyset, and it will include:
     1x base set for tenkeyless keyboard
     1x "Geek Hack" keycap ESC row - White on Pink
     1x "Heart" keycap ESC row - White on Pink
     1x "I <3 U" Enter keycap - White on Pink

Option:
     1x tenkey pad for standard ANSI 104 keyboard
     1x tsangan add-on kit for special keycap replacements

I was just talking about doing this yesterday lol. Needs a regular caps lock for the base kit since a center stem stepped isn't possible, but the tsangan kit includeds one. Other than that I like it.

Far from ready, part of the funds is collected via the red cherry set fundraiser.

Still quite a bit to go then you have to do prototypes to make sure it comes out properly.

The red cherry buy was a big help but we're still going to have to collect the adoption fees and do more prototypes.  I'm preparing the next round of legends now.

Now that geekhack is back up and running smoothly I am planning to put up a progress thread with pictures of the prototypes and an estimated timeline for completion.

EDIT: can I request some extra modifiers be included as optional replacements for the Windows and Meta keys. Something that fits the theme...hearts would be fine, or something else.

I like the Wyse font for this one. Cherry is nice, but it doesn't fit every theme. The more rounded style of the Wyse is perfect here.

Err not really. It's on hold atm. I think the Pink & White keyset should be done first, then the Camou set.
For those who don't want to buy this keyset but the add-ons, we could talk about it after we collect enough interest to make the "Valentine" Pink & White keyset happen.

I like this idea. Sorta like red alert, all white with pink for those that want it to look clean, and then the pink mods for those that really want to show their feminine side.

I want to do IC/OT for a keyset just like the one in 1st post, and that's all for now.  No need any add-ons, so it can be as cheap as possible. Too many choices -> no one is happy.
About the pink on white mods, we can talk about it later if have enough interest.

I swore I saw a few other pinks on the chain when boost was trying to do the Miami set. Perhaps people don't consider them pink.

I have helped someone with this before!  I can show a picture if you guys want, but i have to ask the person in Korea.

They have RCR and RCS. RCS is a little bit lighter. RCR would work best for the fonts (for better contrast) but RCS for the modifiers might look good. If we were doing this in PBT we'd have 3 pinks to pick from.

Yah, it's far away, but when you start walking back the time it takes to do everything, then it adds up quick. This is actually a great time to start talking about this. 4-6 weeks for production. 1-2 weeks for shipping. 3-4 weeks to collect orders and money. That's already potentially 3 months from start to finish. And that's barring any supply shortages with SP, which would take longer to resolve as you get closer to the holiday season. I would expect that everyone would want to have these by the first part of February, so it seems like this should get started no later than the start of November, which is only 3 months away.

My thoughts:

This should try to wait for cherry legends, which I think would line up with it arriving by Valentine's day and not months in advance.

It should offer a couple of the custom keys separate both to help cover the legend fee and provide for those who just want it.

It needs an option for all pink on white keys as well. Honestly I'm not all that interested in the current set, when I originally posted I assumed it would be similar to Red Alert in that aspect.

Its tough to do something that isn't relevant to the key if it isn't going to be Esc row, that's why everyone usually chooses the Esc row because its the most versatile. IE most different spots you can put it.

It takes about 1, even 2 months for me to receive one shipment from US to Vietnam, so I don't think we can wait for the cherry legends. That's a pity. I need this set before February, so it should be done and ready for shipping in early Jan. or even sooner, in late December. Hope you guys understand.
Options are interesting. But since there is not enough interest in the base set as for the Red Alert, I don't think we should provide it, at least for now.

Those mockups are cool, but SP will shoot them down.  The first one has too much detail.  The second one may work with some tweaks.  Also keep in mind they can not mold all the way to the edge of the key face.
