Isn't that the Round One group buy?  It was the least "retro-accurate" -- lowercase and non-centred legends all over the place.
yes... not the best version of it

Just an update, It looks like GMK is going to do this.

He will be emailing me with pricing and all the rest of the necessary early next week.

Don't want to put a damper on things...but hitting the MOQ for GMK seems to be a tad difficult. Did they say we needed 300/400 full sets to get it made?

Not respon-what?

Just go ahead!

Almost everything is sold out, so no problem for me if you start a new group buy.

Meant SP. On iphone.

Also, I didn't see that 7bit response. I still need the legend privilages according to Melissa.

7bit, if you don't mind emailing her giving me permission to use them, that would be great!

She said once she has you okay we are good to go!

I've just lost all bodily functions when I saw this.  PLEASE anyone do this Group Buy soon.  8)

Makes me want to smear glue all over my body and jump onto this key-set for some close body contact.  My Mrs is extremely jealous.  :-*

Those are some keycaps!  Me, I'd do the numpad in big numerals to match the main alphas.

Is this Retro set supposed to have the same SP colours as 7bit's "Retro" set, or will it be more like the Wyse/SoWaRe?

I'm so not a fan of the multi-color legends.  Or random symbols.  Purse-style caps locks, arrows on the shift and enter keys, sure.  Everything else just go with the text labels.  Please.

That's it.  Let's start the Group Buy NOW!!!   ;D

The symbols are fine, I don't need letters telling me to "Shift, Enter, Caps Lock or Tab" my way around in any text document.  Besides that's what makes the RETRO key-set so unique.   Killing off the Symbols just makes it another boring key-set.

I know BUT people miss out due to various circumstances, that's why there's sometimes a Second Version of Key-sets that are made like  Klaxon - The RA2 Clone and CCnG Round 2 (the weird thing was I paid up in full for the FIRST Version of this key-set, including extra transit charges but never received anything >:( ).

So according to you everyone should miss out?  :-\   I'm glad that there are people willing to do a Round TWO because the interest is THERE and always will be.  Nobody starts a 2ND Group Buy unless it's really wanted by a vast number of People, it's like TRUE democracy at work (people use to give up their lives for that little known concept)  ;) .

Same here I would be very interested if offered with blue symbols instead of text legends and no RGB/Y for me.  I just can't see any flow to it.

I am going to post the modifiers for both text, symbols, RGB and non-RGB since the minimum order is only 25 pieces. However, this is not a definite as I do not want too many expecting a certain modifier and we do not get enough requests for ones that we originally created this for.

Either way, I am going to start the GB thread tonight. I got busy since my girl was sick with 101 last night. So look out for it.

I think some people are confused as to what this IC is about. This is not a "Round 3"-alike set. It's a "R4-Retro"-alike set.

OP restated this here:

7bit's Doubleshot Replacements Round 4 group buy contained several different styles of keycap sets. Specifically Spherical (SA-profile), Retro, Noir, and Round3.

This IC is to basically run another round of the "Retro" style from R4.

More info here: http://deskthority.net/wiki/Doubleshot_Replacements_Round_4

"Retro" also can refer to Matt3o and samwisekoi's "DSA Retro" group buy. And some people have been using it to describe the "Round 3" keyset. The term "Retro" is confusing, and I suggest it not be used to describe group buys in the future.
