[IC] PBTFans Golden Age | Sparkly Metallic Gold 2Shot ABS

WELCOME TO THE GOLDEN AGE!

PBTFans golden age is a keyset inspired by a true life story about warriors overcoming all odds and entering into a golden age. This ABS Doubleshot keyset will be using metallic gold resin alongside sparkly specks to really make your keyboard SHIMMER!

The goal of this interest check is to, well, check interest and to hopefully get PBTFans attention and make it a reality. I'm not so sure myself if metallic resin sparkly keycaps exist, but this is a project to make it a reality! KITTING

The base kit will offer your standard fare of 40s support, alice, etc while splitting numpad and extended bars into their own kits. I'm not sure if KBDFans forces kitting, but if they do things will change. Otherwise this is what I believe to be an optimal base kit regarding price to coverage!



The accent kit comes with grey, red, and white keycaps to offer a little bit of color to accent the gold! These will be standard resin keycaps using the gold for legends.



It's a numpad!


Bars! If PBTFans is able to accommodate for 2x1.75u bars I will be happy to add them to this kit, I'm just personally unsure at the moment.

yeahhhh that definitely says something. the gold on white accent looks a little low contrast, might just be the lighting but definitely get samples for that. also the AI art is certainly contentious, i'd steer clear. finally, the theme is rather loose; should commission some novelties to tie it together tbh.

Okay hold on I'm not baiting anything at all. The ai art was something I thought was fun and cool just for the interest check. If this gets approved by pbtfans then I would absolutely commission an artist to take care of those assets. I'll remove the art to not give people ideas that I would use AI art going forward for final designs. I think you're reading into this a bit much. It's an idea I've had kicking around for a while and my interest in brand keycaps are potentially able to make this a reality and wanted to check the waters. I would love to get samples and see where this goes, hopefully when things get moving it'll be the right process. This is simply an interest check!

Thank you for all the support everyone! And valid feedback. I got some good news, KBDFans saw and wants to make sure this is possible, so we should be getting a sample sometime soon whenever they're able to test! So sit patiently, and I'll get some ideas rolling for deskmats, maybe novelties

Here's a potential kit for the reverse alphas! i updated the interest check form with this kit. We'll just have to see how far we can get with pbtfans! if enough people show interest hopefully we can support all the kits.
