Hi everyone, I would like to present a new tripleshot hiragana sub-legend keycap set called "JTK Tanjun".
Tanjun (単純) is the Japanese word for simplicity. This set focuses on simple, subtle, and unobtrusive beauty.
The japanese word for this aesthetic is "shibui (渋い)".

This set will be produced by JTK using tripleshot technology, made with ABS in their CA (cherry) profile.

UPDATES

27 March 2021:

- Announced zFrontier as Asia vendor and Rebult Keyboards as SEA vendor - all vendors have been announced!
- Decided to keep light base kit with dark alphas
- Now waiting for quotes from JTK and after that we'll have an estimated GB Date!

20 February 2021:

- Added a bunch of new renders including new kit renders that show colors more accurately
- Unfortunately some of the original novelties would be possible with JTK so I had to redesigned some of them. I think the new novelties go much better with the rest of the theme and I am much happier with how the new novelties look. I also added a lot more keys to the novelties kit. - Added two 1.5u Super keys and a second 1u Alt key to base kit
- CandyKeys will be the EU vendor and Proto[Typist] will be the UK vendor for the set! I am still waiting for confirmations from the Asia and SEA vendors

- I have decided not to do two whole base kits for this set however I have added a question to the new IC form to vote for either dark or light base kit. If the dark base kit is chosen, there will still be an option for alternate white alphas

22 January 2021:

- Added the novelties I've been working on!
- I'm also happy to announce that Vala Supply (https://vala.supply/), SwitchKeys (https://www.switchkeys.com.au/), and AlphaKeys (https://alphakeys.ca/) will be the US, OCE, and CA vendors respectively!
- Some small updates to kitting: added 1u shift key to base kit, added ISO support + extra tab key to dark alphas kit.
- Also added a couple renders with the new novelties

29 December 2020:

- Removed blue spacebars from base kit and put them in blue spacebars kit
- Removed "JTK" logo keys from base kit
- Fixed 1.5u backspace legend size
- Added F13 key
- Removed 1u and 1.25u "Code" keys from base kit

- Fixed missing second "い" on "E" key

Dark alphas are definitely the standout, I'm unsure I'd even bother with the light alphas - much better with the dark.

usually I don't like sets that have foreign sublegends for no reason, but here it ties in with the colors nicely, and the set is designed around *japanese* simplicity, so I'll let it slide.

kitting is nice, no F13 (that I can see? I might be blind) but everything else is present and that is very much appreciated.

Thanks for rendering on some upcoming boards, and not just a jane like everyone and their dog has done by now.

It's simple as the name implies, but the blue works so well with black and white.

I see many dark base lovers, but the light base set is the winner for me.

Yea I messed up the sizing of the legend in the render so I have to fix that. That's the symbol JTK uses for their 1.5u backspace though...

Well bad new for me, I prefered the white base and would have bought the black alphas for the choice.

But I will not buy 2 entire base kits, that will be too expensive.

Could also do a mod kit and choice of alphas, for MOQ purposes should it come to that.

I like the contrast of the white keys with the different sublegend colors. The dark set is nice although.

It's hard to tell on the renders, but for the F and J keys, are they scooped or bar ?

Hi everyone, thanks for all the feedback so far! I have a few updates:
I'm happy to announce that Vala Supply, SwitchKeys, and AlphaKeys will be the US, OCE, and CA vendors respectively! I am also excited to show you the novelties that I have been working on! I also made a few small changes to kitting - added 1u shift key to base kit, added ISO support to dark alphas kit.

Is the kitting still the same? Personally for me it was perfect. I love both the base kit and the dark alphas, and it would be cheaper than buying 2 base kits.

I am not sure I really understand the novelties with the flowers and the 3 circle thing.
Since the theme is simplicity, maybe some Enzo circles 円相 or Torii gates 鳥居 or things related to Zen gardens could be an idea?

Looks beautiful but where's all the prior sets? I'll be a little weary ordering anything until a few more sets deliver. I realize its been difficult recently but I'll need to see some return to an actual set time turnover before ordering anything from JTK. Good luck and I'm sincerely rooting for you. Hi, can you consider adding a R3 1u pipe key "\|" to the base kit, this way you can cover both UK and US ISO in base, currently there is only UK ISO. You've already had 2 nice ISO enter novelties so adding this 1 key will go very well with them.

Small update: zFrontier will be the vendor for Asia and Rebult Keyboards will vendor for SEA, which means all vendors are announced! The IC form was pretty split between light and dark base so I will be keeping the light base kit. Now just waiting for quotes from JTK and after that I can get an estimated GB date!

So uhhhhhh....?? It's now end of February 2022. I feel pretty comfortable stating this is dead as we were told "soon" a year ago and not a single update since. Very few sets look this good and dont run. Hopefully someone else will design a similar colorway and get it into the trainwreck that is keycap gbs.
