TV:

65" lcds top models small chance of approaching $800ish, Hisense U8N, TCL QM851

1-down from top, TCL QM7 is pretty unbeatable for $700, maybe it'll go another $50 on BF.  Hisense has this weirdness with their ADS pro (IPS based) lcds, which use a different model number, so make sure you look up whether you want high contrast of VA, or, the wider viewing of ADSpro.

75" QM7 is at $1000, so, that's more TV than most people ever need.  Although Tp4 would recommend 85 and 98, there's really no such thing as too big.

Sony, Samsung LCDs not worth considering, they're unremarkable for the price, you might as well get OLED.

65" samsung oled is already at $1000

LG oled, only the G series is worth considering, the B and C are not great value vs the Samsung + LG color fades at higher brightness.

The only consideration for LG, is if you must have the polarizer, it looks blacker in well lit rooms.

LCD advantage = light cannon

OLED advantage = color , wide seating (viewing angle)

Normally, you'd add contrast to oled advantage, but we're actually at the point where the LCDs are getting so good, it's not a make or break difference anymore.

GPU:

Nvidia Raytracing is still not worth it. DLSS = blur, Frame.gen = lag

$700 for 7900xtx possible, but it's looking like now that trump won with the alleged tax (might happen), $730 might be the absolute lowest w/ credit card bonus, or flex pay incentive.

The best "deal" we've seen thus far is $200 for 6700xt, That's pretty much unbeatable, so that's the benchmark.

There's not a whole lot of reasons why you wouldn't buy XTX though.

CPU:

Since there's only 1 chip everyone wants (9800x3d), expect maybe a $25 discount.

As always, GPU first.

Mouse:

Mouse deals are always nice on the China Homebrands.  They've beaten logitech in most ways, even transmission stability.

Anything with PAW 3950, PAW 3395, will be more than adequate.  We've seen them go down to $20-25.

Tp4 really thinks Rapoo is the most sensible mouse, 800mah battery, you virtually never have to charge it using it at 1000hz.

Their latest realtek chipset application lasts 80 hours at 8000hz.

VT1, series still has 2 extra buttons
VT3, series, 1 extra button, bigger palm space (ergo shape).

You will way overpay for hype brands like razer/pulsar/logitech/Zowie/Vexee

Fones:

pixel 8 for $400ish if you just need a fone.

s24 if you take pictures.

This is not something you should waste money on, TV, GPU, CPU, Mouse first.

TomahawkLabs:
Do you believe that the items sold on black friday is the same as the items sold during the non-sale time of year? I have looked in the past and found most electronics are black friday specific SKUs and are not the actual product that was reviewed in May and on shelves in July. I am always leery of Black Friday deals because in years past when it was about shoring up your bottom line of the end of year is a lot different than this planned consumer holiday. Seems like a great time to sell OEM "knockoff" goods under the same model name, but a different SKU to squeeze out more profit.

tp4tissue:
OLED vs LCD at $1000

OLED, beats the LCD in most movie scenes in a light controlled room. Color vibrancy, Off axis uniformity

LCD, versatile, can accommodate all lighting situations. (virtually) no burn-in, carefree PC/Gaming use. Much LARGER than oled for the same price, or go max light cannon for same size at same price.  MUCH brighter than Oled. Motion clarity with BFI engaged is often on par/ slightly better than Oled.

TCL LCD has faster dimming zones than Hisense, resulting in less brightness loss on fast moving bright objects.  Hisense produces a bit more crushed shadow, but preserves more saturation in place of pushing peak backlight output..

Samsung oled has unbeatable color. Software buggy depending on what you want out of it. Much better near black handling (Dithering).

LG's oled Looks-Blacker in a lit environment. Problem at this moment is overprice, the overall image quality is not as good as Samsung.
