I have too many mice but currently I'm using Steelseries Kinzu with Puretrak Perfect Glide and I can't use any other mouse...I'm addicted.
How do you like the way it feels? Does the ball track well?
Holy giant pictures Batman, it looks like our bandwidth just took a crap!

That L40 thing is ugly and ancient enough for cooldrool. De-yellow and become an elite bastard ... you have the technology!
I got hold of a razer imperator not so long ago and i'm very satisfied. It's very precise and i like the fact that you can change the position of the thumb buttons as i have rather small hands ^.^
MS Windows strikes again with his humongous pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111one
He's gotta use his 12MP camera on something. Why not proudly post pics of touchpads, lol?
I ordered a little WACOM tablet (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823100055). What the hell, eh? If I like it I'll consider upgrading to a bigger & better model. At least I'll finally be able to digitize my written signature properly.
I never liked the G500. It's alright, I suppose. But it looks and feels oversized and my GM-8000X is far superior in every way (including cost).
how does the imperator feel compared to the G500? I have the G500 but i have never owned or felt the razer mouse and it looks like i might like it! Although i really like this G500, it is very nice! :)
Razer Diamondback and Krait... I like the shape of Razers even if quality is crap...
CM Storm Sentinel Advance here. All of you haters about the sensor: i dont have the issues related to the twin eye laser and i absolutely love my mouse. I reccommended it to 3 other friends and they love it too. Other friend had a Roccat Kova and has a Kone and only the KoneThe twin-eye engine isn't bad in the sense that it doesn't feel right. Many have praised how well it tracks and how well it performs, though it depends on the surface.
- could be a worthy replacement for my current mouse.
I use a Mionix Naos 3200. The Razer DeathAdder Black Edition is terribly tempting to get though. I tried using my SteelSeries Xai again and just like every other mouse now the clicks are too hard, the Naos 3200 clicks are so light it's like a cloud.
I highly recommended this cheap cheating bastard trick, along with leet on-screen crosshairs. That's the cheapest, basterdiest trick...
Without getting into any headshot machismo BS ...It's only semi-machismo this time around. With my cheap tablet trick I have some chance of pulling these sorts of shots off. Without this trick I suck like a monkey. One mouse moves fast, one aims precisely (and the tablet is fantastic for this).
I'm using a CM Storm Sentinel as well. No problems with the laser at all - from my understanding, the latest drivers fixed some inconsistencies with tracking. For what it's worth, I'm also using a Razer Goliathus mouse pad.
I'll have to give that a try. I just got the Naos 3200 from UPS today and while it's a great mouse, it's not the ubermouse I was looking for (size wise). I think this might have to do with my hand being used to the Mamba, with the Naos being a different build design it feels like a stranger in my hand if you know what I mean.
Build quality is definitely better than the Mamba, though. Not going back to Razer after this...a $50 mouse that has much superior build quality than a $140 mouse doesn't seem right to me.
I think you could get used to the shape and size of the Naos. I'm quite interested in the Naos 3200 myself and would love to try it out somewhere, but it seems that there are no shops that have the mouse on display so I could try if the shape would suit me or not.
The width is great for me, it's just the height is a little strange coming off a mamba. If you've used a Mamba/Deathadder you'll know what I mean by the 'height' of it. The Naos is slightly shorter. I like to palm grip my mice where my palm is at the top of the mouse, with the Naos I have to palm grip with my palm farther back. If it was the height of the Mamba it'd be perfect for me.
I'm getting used to it thought. I like everything about it more than the Mamba, except for the height, which I'm still unsure on. It's not that I don't like it, it's that it feels weird, I guess. I'm starting to find a combination of the claw/palm grip to be the most comfortable and natural for me.
My Ikari is pretty low and I still kind of like the shape of it. I might give the Naos 3200 a go, since I could order one for a decent price right now.
+1 for Ikari, hands down the best contour I've ever came across with, such comfortable support for every one of my fingers, if you can live with the ****ty steelseries driver.
I don't mind the drivers. The only problem with the Ikari is that it's sometimes quite hard to lift up because of the shape. My hand always slips a little when I need to lift and move the mouse. The shape is in every other way much better than my old G5 and G500, but because of the problems I'm having with lifting it, I'm considering trying the Mionix Naos 3200.
between the deathadder and the G500 i prefer the G500 a LOT more. I just wish that I knew how to set it to 1:1, find a good sensitivity, and solve the acceleration problem and it will be perfect.
Can anyone help me with this?
i thought putting the sensitivity setting at the middle makes it 1:1?
So unfortunately, after a week or so of using the Mionix Naos 3200, I've decided to return it to Amazon (best return policy EVER). My issues with it were few, but important to me.
Pros:
-Great grip
-Great feel
-Very comfortable
-tracks well
-Supports fingers very well
Cons:
-Prediction kind of screwed me a bit in games
-Too low, this is the biggest issue for me
If you like the Ikari, I'm sure you'll love this mouse. But if you're coming off of something with a high arch like the DeathAdder or Mamba and like the shape, I doubt you will like this mouse for longer than 15 minutes. I just couldn't get used to how low it was. My hand would literally ache after some use (the ache would be in the palm of my hand), while the Mamba just seems to sit naturally in my hand (and looks badass too).
Overall, I'd give the Naos 3200 an 8.5/10, and the Mamba an 8/10 overall, but I just couldn't get used to how low it was after spending a year with the Mamba.
I remember the Mamba felt perfect in my hand from the first time I used it, and with the Mionix it felt perfect also. But, that feeling diminished after a bit of use, leading me to be very skeptical of if I'd ever truly like it over my Mamba. I decided to return it rather than risk losing the money.
My advice to all mouse-buyers...the Mionix is a GREAT mouse, one I think you should get only if you don't mind the height of it. It's not 'low' vs. other gaming mice, it's of the average height, but it's lower than the DeathAdder/Mamba, and that proved to be the biggest drawback for me.
Now, maybe I'll start looking at that Logitech MX Revolution, or whatever they call their wireless mice. It looks HUGE. I want a BIG gaming mouse, something that supports my ring finger and maybe pinky, too.
I think if they made the Naos as high as the Mamba in the middle, it'd be the perfect mouse for me. Unfortunately, though, I'm sending it back to Amazon tomorrow, and I will use the refund to try out a new mouse.
Any suggestions with the above in mind:?
After reading this, I think I made up my mind to purchase the Naos 3200 myself.
They still make RAT7? I thought the current model was Cyborg RAT9.
I have a sidewinder x8. I was disappointed to read today that Microsoft are cancelling the sidewinder range, as I really like it.
I don't think there is an equivalent wireless mouse with similar features at the same price point. The only similar specced mouse I can think of is the razor mamba, but that is about twice the price.

At the moment Im using my mx518 but I've been contemplating switching to my razer naga..but honestly this is almost perfect. Now if only they would make the mx518 with the scroll wheel of the g9 then that would be a perfect mouse.
Its funny how no matter which mice I try I always go back to the mx518. Nothing beats optical mice imo.
I was an MX510 user for years (same case as the MX518 AFAIK) but I fell in love with the Deathadder at first grasp. To me it felt far more "clean" and responsive than the MX510. I'm sure it totally depends on your grip, of course. I don't dislike the MX, but do prefer the DA.
The only reason I'm still using the mx518 is because of its performance, but there are a few mice I like A LOT more like the g9. It just has a terrible laser so I'd rather put up with a shape I don't like than something that malfunctions. I've read that the g9x is an improvement but I have yet to try one and I'd rather not buy one just to find out :p
YI'm just skeptical of all products razer makes since I'm always hearing people complain about the quality.
Razer Lachesis, because i dig the shape of this mouse. Got the 5600 DPI version and the old 4000dpi version, i prefer the new one, because it isn't used down :)
Logitech VX Nano for HP DM1z NotBook use. My Kid stole my other one when he got the HP 210HD.

Logitech G9x, feels great in my hand and seems pretty alright for gaming.
I also ordered a new mice: a R.A.T. 9.
It's the most expensive mouse on Amazon. $130.
Just like the Topre the most expensive is not always the best.

Razer Salmosa Asian Edition :D
I want to try the normal edition and the Abyssus, too. I also feel like I should stock up on more asian editions in case they become difficult to find. I like it that much relative to all the other mice that I've used.
g500 lol that thing
Currently using an IME 3.0 but I've preordered a PureTrak Valor so I'll see how that goes.
Sick and tired of the 3.0 malfunctioning because I move too fast when trying to RJ in QL.
360 @ 52.5cm :(
I actually have no idea about mouse switches even though I think of myself adept in mice and keyboards.
DO WANT.
The only way I found to buy these mice are from e-bay and I'm not used to it since I've never used it.
I have the normal edition but I always have wanted the Asian edition or the Korean edition( the one with orange wheel). I know it was available time ago in USA as in ASIA but as always here in Europe...NO.
Do you have any pic?
Right now I'm using the Steelseries Kinzu and would like to have a smaller mice.
The Salmosa Asian Edition is available on Taobao. I'm considering to import those.
In Asia there's a few who follow modding their mice and switching out the switches to other types(different forces, brands, feel, reaction etc.etc.) except they remove the levers, they stick with downforce rather than lever-action. Most view it as what is the point if the microswitch is so small but it does make a differenceIt all sounds really interesting, already seen some on ebay. Do you have to solder them?
What's special about the Asian edition? Just the fact that it's Asian? It's smaller than the normal Salmosa, it was a small mouse to begin with :S
What's special about the Asian edition? Just the fact that it's Asian?
... Why anyone would want it even smaller is beyond me, but if it works for them that's fantastic.
I bought an orochi so I am hoping it is around the size of the small Salmosa. I for am a huge fan of small mice

Has anyone tried out the ROCCAT Kone
- ? I have heard that it is the end all be all mouse but I am not so sure. I think that the G500 is pretty great.....
Also, what is a nice laser mouse that goes to at least 3000CPI and is very light? I would prefer something with an up-to-date sensor of course. Just thinking about trying out a lighter mouse.... Thanks to anyone who helps me out with this!
considering a coolermaster spawn right now. I used to prefer palm grip mice (well, and trackballs) but I had to admit to myself that I'm doing fine clawing around with the ****ty Logitech I currently have.
after i got to the precision and feel of the roccat kone i bought the roccat kone
- and i am addicted to this mouse!!! if you got a good model, the material differs sometimes, its the best mouse i have ever used.

Got a Sidewinder X8 on the sole merit of it being very cheap currently with MS canning the whole Sidewinder peripheral line. So far liking it quite a lot to my own surprise. Will try it in some games a bit later, kinda busy day so far.
I had one until a drunk friend trod on it at a LAN. Lovely mouse. I've yet to find anything else that fits my hand so well as that big bugger.

razer abyssus. best mouse for claw grip along with wmo and ms1.1a when i feel like mixing it up.

Do you guys turn off mouse acceleration?
Oh my god. Just got the abyssus. Was using the G5 from 2006 - 2008, then DeathAdder for 1 1/2 years. IME 3.0 for over a year. So I've only had palm grip mice.
This feels so weird, but in a freaking awesome way, jumped into a game with 8 nightmare bots, hitting better LG and hitting so many rails, I can also ****ing rocket jump easy as piss now. No more looking like a ***got because I'm unable to rocket jump.
Best thing is, little to no jittering when so many people are reporting it.
Only problem is the highish LOD which is fixable with tape apparently.Show Image(http://i54.tinypic.com/rwrz2h.jpg)
EDIT: The LOD is actually horrible, I find it hard to play so I have to play without picking up my mouse til I find some blurry scotch tape or something. :(

First post!Welcome to geekhack!
how do you like it? ive been meaning to try a new mouse aside from my G9x.. but not too much in a hurry since i love my mouse
It's a really nice mouse. Small, lightweight and comfortable. Smaller than your G9x (I used to have own one) and my R.A.T. 7. Recently MadCatz told me that I'd won their new R.A.T. 7 Albino so I'm gonna be using/testing that from now so I could post a short review later.
Just received this yesterday...
Sorry for quality of the pic. I'll try to take some better pics tomorrow.

Is the white one the same Philips Twin Eye sensor as the black?
I only have this for a couple of days so I'll post more feedback later on if anyone's interested.
I'd just received it a few days ago.Your post made it seem like you had to give it back lol. That's what I thought also. Was going to ask the same thing.

Nice little collection you've got going there bud. How big are your hands/what kind of grip style?
I was hoping to see the mico next to mx300 to compare size... the mico is in the mail currently.
Also have you found anything better than the steelseries grips...that sticky residue on the back that turns into gooey nasty stuff isn't cool. They only last like 2-3months tops IME.
No hate for razer, but I can't see a single reason to choose a razer mouse (as most of the other parvenu brands) over a good logitech.Because of the shape?
At least a BW is mechanical and logitech has no mech keyboard in its line, but the mice ?
because of the shape?
I don't think I could ever go back to a mouse without hyperscroll and side buttons.
Although the side buttons are very useful, there was a time where I couldn't use a mouse without.
Razer Abyssus nowadays, no more negative accleration and malfunctioning when I used to play with the IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0
I have a couple in use, a couple more NIB for the future and also some rarities like the Transformers special edition with the 3G sensor (these were a very limited run).
Agree 100 percent, best value as well in my opinion, if you can find one used on ebay it's even better :p
Just got a Logitech M570 trackball today. It's taking some getting used to, but I'm loving it so far!
Razer DeathAdder 2013 and Logitech G400, just sold off my Zowie FK.
Looking at the EC1 eVo!
I have the FK and the AM. The FK's shape is superb and the switches are much better than the AM. I just wish that it had the same rubbery sides that the AM has and it would be perfect. :)

Why don't you open them up and swap the casings, or is that a simpleton's (my) viewpoint only?

Felt it was a tad thin and low profile, a bit tiring to use for longer periods.
I do miss it, though..
You are more of a palm grip then? I am 100% fingertip since I have big hands and I have yet to notice the height of any mouse I have used lol. So going from the AM to the FK was all about the sides.

Wow, what a necro!
I'm currently using a Logitech G502, upgraded from the G402 after the rubber scroll wheel had issues. The durability is greatly improved by the thick metal wheel, but due to its balancing it's very easy to move and the free scroll is incredible for navigating long texts. The shape is great for my hands, regular size but with long fingers. Easily reached macro keys for volume control/dpi adjust, and nice and weighty to suit my preference. Grippy thumb and pinky areas are great too, my only complaint is that they obviously attract more dirt, and there's this little spot on the right mouse button where dirt tends to accumulate, though it's easy to remove. Might give it a review if anyone is interested :D
MX Master(race) FTW! Best mouse I've ever laid my hands on!
It has the best battery in the business and even though it doesn't hold as advertised I get about 3 and a half weeks of use on one charge. It also charges in about 3 hours and you can use it while charging. The sensor is 1.600 dpi which is more than enough and it works on glass. It features a second thumb scroll which is super helpful for professionals(I use it as a volume control for the system :-[) Anyway just check any review on the internet and you'll sure get a better impression than I can come up with in this limited space.
The purists/gamers will bash it for being wireless  but if they like their hands tied to a rope, so be it!
Just check the sexiness!

Not so much the scroll wheel, but I do have issues with the mouse sensor itself, even the tiniest bit of 'fluff' on the mouse pad and it goes ballistic. What happens when yours gets dirty? Does it just stop functioning?

Interesting, I have also experienced what you are reporting. It's rare, and I just blow off the sensor area and it's good again.
When the scroll sensor starts getting dirty, it will start reading the scroll movements as really twitchy and random. Makes it impossibly annoying to scroll down a page, or scroll in or out on your camera view in an MMO, for instance. Luckily it's just dust so a shot of aerosol CRC contact cleaner does the job perfectly, I don't even have to open up the mouse body.

Sure thing! A can of that stuff isn't very expensive, and it's easy to find and is indispensable IMO. I usually buy it at the Napa auto parts when it's on sale, and all the other generic auto parts stores carry it as well. Almost all hardware stores also usually carry it.
Edit: here's the exact stuff I buy: http://www.amazon.com/CRC-5103-Quick-Electronic-Cleaner/dp/B000BXOGNI (http://www.amazon.com/CRC-5103-Quick-Electronic-Cleaner/dp/B000BXOGNI)

I went from Mx518 to a Razer DeathAdder and now the Zowie FK1. Every step felt like an upgrade, I'm happy.
I might have used the DeathAdder longer if it wasn't for the horrendous driver software. The Zowie just does what it should in perfection, with DPI selection on the mouse itself.
Zowie FK1. Best mouse I've used yet!
What's the size on the Zowie? I tried the DA but it felt too small - probably mostly not tall enough for my palm grip. The Steelseries Rival felt pretty solid but with all the problems I'm hearing on the 300 with the drivers, I've held off.About the same size in width and length, but lower and symmetric.

For the longest time I used one of theseShow Image(http://cdn.shopclues.net/images/detailed/185/dellmousems11101.jpg)
Then I invested in a SteelSeries Rival.
I am big fan of the logitech mx500 shape. Have had in the last 10 years a mx500, mx510, mx518 (1600dpi and 1800dpi version), g400 with anglesnapping, g400 without anglesnapping and two g400s. I have to say the g400s keeps the legacy the mx500, but I might try the new g502 since all reviews indicate it is a great successor of the g400s.
I recently got a Logitech G602. It is nice, but it is way too big and I prefer ambidextrous mice. I just ordered a SteelSeries Sensei Wireless and it should be here Wednesday. I am anxiously awaiting its arrival. I don't get the need for a wired mouse. I much prefer wireless.

Been using this for quite some time now:Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/5tdDhBP.jpg)
I originally bought a white one...then the middle click started doing double and triple clicks...
I use the finger buttons on top so much, that I got a black one to replace it.
Guess i should see about maybe sending the white one in to get fixed ><'
Mionix Naos 7000. I honestly cannot use another mouse and feel comfortable after using a Naos. They're just too comfortable in my hand.
I just use the optical mouse that came with my PC.
I tried the Naos 7000 and Castor side by side. Preferred the Castor due to being a bit smaller, lighter and more suited to lifting. The Castor is essentially a hybridization of certain aspects of the Castor and Avior.
The Naos has a much more pronounced finger rest for ring/pinky than the Castor, which is quite subtle in comparison.
Both have an excellent braided cable that is not stiff. Similar to removing the core from paracord. I find this a serious problem with most braided mice. Both mice share essentially the same sensor and hate the Artisan Raiden pads I recently got to replace my old Hien Kien's, but I anticipated this and also got Shidens which are fine.

I've seen a lot of praise for the Castor. I'm sure I'll pick one up at some point. The specs look great.
G502 proteus core, the only mouse, the best mouse. Also a m570 for when im feeling trackbally

I need to try it as well but I'm afraid I don't like the shape. The Avior being a "intellimouse on steroids" IMHO is so awesome.

I was able to find a Castor for around $40 but it got lost on it's way to me, which sucks because I just wanted a new mouse :(

Preach it brother! How is it getting used to a trackball from a normal mouse? I've been considering picking one up.
zowie fk2 at the moment. i'll probably sell it soon, the shape just doesn't do it for me.
i'm waiting for new mouse feet to arrive, so that i can play around with a bunch of other mice. they all have absolutely terrible feet at the moment, and it makes them unusable for me :E
Did you ever pick up what the difference between a FK1 and a FK2 is? I can't understand the differences.
Well, I will now be using a G400 at home as well as one at work since I found one at a thrift store in pretty good condition for only $10!
Currently, CoolerMaster Sentinel 3, simply the BEST mouse they have ever made 8) .
Perfect switches, nice surface finish on the casing and every setting you want can be kept on the mouse without needing any type of bloated, fat versions of Synapse installed at all.
Just be glad there is still a mouse manufacturer keeping it real, instead of another rubbish company releasing another "Gamer" style abortion, to the idiot newbs out there.
I've been using a Razer Taipan for over two years. The best mouse I have ever used, ever.
Zowies are nice and I've been looking at the Ducky Secret lately, too.
But, Cooler Master is VERY gamer oriented. ???
At least Razer makes mice with hydrophobic coating. I thought Logitech was the only one using that stuff but I guess I was wrong :)But, Cooler Master is VERY gamer oriented. ???
Poor child, save the "Gamer Oriented" stuff for Razer Corp, that is the ONLY company that specialized for all Lamers, sorry Gamers.........hehe :)) .

I agree with you about Logitech. I have a little logitech trackman marble that went through a few paces without issue. My palm print is burned in to the mouse but it still works great :cool:At least Razer makes mice with hydrophobic coating. I thought Logitech was the only one using that stuff but I guess I was wrong :)
Remember that their is NO such thing as a Razer or Logitech Factory situated within China, they ALL use specific manufacturers to make all their models. Sometimes Logitech lucks out in picking the right factory and so will Razer but in the end, it comes down to specific design details that will either win new users or lose them.
Thus far for longevity, Logitech wins out right over Razer's current gear. Maybe one day they (Razer) will actually make something that is worth keeping instead of dumping into Landfill sites around the globe ;D .
I've just been using my WMO for funnsies for the past 2 weeks..
Honestly.. I don't find anything wrong with it.. works just as well as my g400.. even though the tracking on the wmo doesn't feel like 1:1..

Don't forget to run it at 500hz and you'll notice a distinct improvement :thumb: .
At least Microsoft did something right all those years ago, unfortunately it was the first and last time they could ever achieve that goal of producing something PERFECT :'( .
just finished modding my Logitech G502.
new wheel, removed unnecessary parts adding weight on the inside, added new better feet to it, removed some of the sharp bad feet, de-braided the cable.
weighs a bit less now (just over 100g, I think 102 without cable?) and the wheel is actually useable. stock wheel is so harsh with its all metal build.

Can some people actually tell the difference between a 98g mouse and a 102g mouse, or is it just "gamer" bull**** like "gaming" switch types?

My mouse has removable weights that apparently weigh 4.5g. It doesn't sound like a lot, but it is noticeable. It all comes down to preference though, and if your are using a mouse like a CS pro, a lighter mouse will probably feel better as you whip it around the mouse mat.

It's like gaming switches..
If you focus all of your perceptions, and slowly try to feel out the difference between two objects..
Yes, sure you can tell one switch is heavier, or one mice is heavier..
HOWEVER.. in PRACTICE, whey you're typing out on 10fastfingers, or playing a game.. I find it hard to believe that 20 grams ontop of a mice will be within just-noticeable-difference range..
Same goes for SSDs... yea currently all the Gen 6 stuff are objectively faster than gen 2..
But 9 times out of 10 during desktop use.. it's impossible to tell...
___ Why is that the case.. becauseeeeee the RANDOM I/O is only about 5-10MB faster..

Considering it's just a mouse..
Prolly could file large chunks of plastic out of it, and it'd still be structurally sound to perform as a mouse..

Logitech g502, with mappings to make it a one-handed web browsing device. It's addicting.
So now I have a trackball, I would like to get some plug in buttons to go into the back. I'm thinking of programming a pair on one side and either a single or pair on the other side, but I am not sure what to programme them to do. I'm thinking Home and End buttons maybe, but the scroll wheel is so smooth, there isn't that much of a need for them really, but I do use them pretty often.CST trackball nice :) I understand that cherry mx can be used but other than that :-[ One day I'll buy an L-Trac to replace my trackman marble I guess
Has anybody else got programmable buttons? What do you use them for? What circuitry are you using? And how the hell do I programme one?
Thanks :)
True, I figured you have already read through that post. I assumed the switches would be wired directly to the audio jacks and the L-Trac software would handle the rest.
Zowie FK1 with OMRON switches. I replaced the huano switches that crapped out on me a year later
left-handed DA! it's such a shame that there aren't more left-handed ergonomic mice. or left-handed trackballs! :-)Handshoe, Evoluent, a bunch of brands I don't even know… Elecom XT4*.
Since I have four rigs, I use four mice:
Logitech G502, G402, Armaggeddon Havoc III and Thermaltake Level10M.....with a Kone XTD and Razer DeathAdder as standby mice.

Been using g502, but I'm getting fed up with it. There's apparently a defect where after a while the middle mouse button stops working. I've had 2 in a row (first one I thought it was me, so bought another) fail, and am getting ready to do an RMA replacement. So back to the G700s. At work I'm using the g9x, since I don't need as many keys.
tp4tissue if you remove the weights, the G100S also gets very light.
i'll quote someone from another forum: "you can remove the 14/15gram weight from the g100s quite easily taking the weight from 83 grams to 69"
like the WMO and abyssus, it has no side-buttons. shape is a bit weird, though.
is anyone using g502 here? do you guys feel like the mouse twitches sometimes?
Seriously? :'( I should look in to this. Maybe I'm stuck with random mice brands like Senteyis anyone using g502 here? do you guys feel like the mouse twitches sometimes?

That is effin' brilliant! I'm bookmarking that for future reference. Luckily this mouse still has some pretty tight tolerances and except for the scroll wheel, it feels solid. I haven't decided if i want to crack into it yet. Maybe when i finally get some GPL-100 or GPL-205 lube in my possession i'll take it apart and try and get it into shape.

I'm using 400 dpi and 1600 dpi, but it jitters on both.
I have a G502, and I absolutely hate it. I get the twitching on any DPI (though, oddly, mine's better at the highest DPI). There are way too many buttons, my right click is spotty, the cord is fraying, the skates are in abysmal shape, and the stupid panel that hides the weights falls off all the time. -8/10, would not purchase again.
I'd like something with the basic features of an Intellimouse (5 buttons, optical, good tracking) in a better casing. I was looking at the Ducky Secret and the Zowie EC-1A, but I don't know which I'd prefer, and the Zowie has a 1-2 month lead time on Amazon! Microcenter has the FK1/2, but I don't know.
Anyway, recommendations welcome.
This jitter has to do with surface tuning.. if you're getting it on all dpiLikely so, but the funny thing is that I'm using the Logitech G series polymer mouse pad. I would be more inclined to investigate if I didn't hate the mouse so much at this point.

Tried on both my steel series and artisan mousepad and still having the same problem lol
which Steelseries and which Artisan? My mouse jitters every so often when the CPU is maxed out but I never knew that a mouse can jitter on its own. I guess I have a decent sensor on mine.

G502 does not jitter on those settings at all for me, on various mousepads. jitter is not a good thing :p
it means it's picking up things that aren't what you're actually trying to do. some people just aren't sensitive to jitter due to not needing pixel precision.

Ideally, when you move your mouse in a straight line physically the sensor should read a straight line but due to electronics this is not so. It is in fact some sort of a pattern across a line, that line may be straight or slightly curved even. So the trajectory can be off in terms of linearity and in terms of degrees. So aside from a good sensor, algorithms need to make sense of what input is noise and what is actual intended input. When you crank up DPI, you are basically magnifying the signal and thus the noise increases. Like zooming in on an wave in an audio file. This increases jitter, because it is more difficult to distill the overall intended pattern against the noise.
And to add a little bit more to this: it's shaped very nicely and feels great. The mouse's shell is made of PBT, so it won't slicken or shine in the way that ABS mice will. It's meant to be open and accessible, so if you need to change a switch or something, getting inside is simple. They don't mention this anywhere, but the cable is also extremely slick and doesn't catch or drag on a desk edge. It uses no computer software. All the adjustments are performed via buttons on the mouse. It also has zero hardware acceleration. It's a very simple mouse with features for people who care more about "how it's built" than how many buttons it has and how many macros you can map to it.Contemplating the Ducky Secret myself... Hrrrrmmmm......Dooooo ittttt. Every time I use it, I like it more.

It weighs 120g for some reason, but that is apparently Heavy for SOME mouse folks..
Contemplating the Ducky Secret myself... Hrrrrmmmm......Dooooo ittttt. Every time I use it, I like it more.
What's so great about it?
Basically it is the SUPER VERSION of the venerable Intellimouse xplorer 3.0, which is well regarded..
The switches are all Omron Japan, incidentally, the ORIGINAL ball mouse intellimouse had all Omron Japan

I'm trying to decide between the duck and the g303 right now..
the g303 can't be modded to full omron though because the middle click is smd..
hrrrmmm..
I'm going to try the ducky once I can find a store who sells it here in the Netherlands.
I'm not really into Logitech anymore, they ruined it for me with the g400s.
ruined? their MX500 - MX518 - G400 - etc line was incredibly popular.
the only complaint i've seen about the G400s (relative to the G400) is that is has higher delay. afaik this has never been confirmed though.
btw @tp4tissue the sensor in the ducky is not the same as the sensor in the G303 / G502. there are actually plenty of complaints about the 3310 sensor that's in the Secret.
most companies have also done a terrible job at implementing the sensor. (cheap-asses.)
but Ducky seems to be one of the few companies that (apparently) implemented the sensor really well.
i certainly like their approach of PBT, no software, nice switches and no braided cable. and you can easily open the mouse. :-
@iLLucionist:
http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/478254/ducky-secret.html
according to them, €64,90 from alternate.nl with free shipping (and apparently a free €30,- mouse mat???)
it's unfortunate that so many people claim that the 3310 is the best on the market, because it is not. :/
not that it really matters, because it's certainly good enough for pro gaming. but it's just a bit hyped up. :-)
the 3310 has its strengths, but also weaknesses. it's more of a side-grade to most sensors, rather than an upgrade.
it looks like the 3360 (or 3366 in logitech mice) is the strongest one out right now. but some purists still cling to their MLT04 mice. :-P
i seem to be one of very few who still prefers (non-braided) rubber cables.
it's really just the feel and sound of that cable dragging over my cloth deskpad that drives me nuts. it gives me extra friction that way, as well.
but if i didn't have a cloth pad then maybe i would've preferred braided as well. :-)
btw, did you maybe mean the G500s?
i can assure you that the G400 has no inherent acceleration.
the G500s however uses a laser sensor and inherently has high "variance", which is often perceived as acceleration.
I just bought a Mionix Castor and an Razer Diamondback.
At first I was thinking the Diamondback was going to be just something to add to my collection, but I ended up liking it more. In the past I've always preferred ergonomic mice, but for whatever reason the shape just fits.
What mouses feature the 3360 out of the top of your head? I'm curious.
No, I definitely meant the g400s. Sorry, but in my opinion that mouse sucks for the tracking. Shape is great though as are the buttons.
I can imagine about the braided cable.. I like it, others hate it. But my desk is really smooth, so I don't feel friction when moving my mouse around.

I used to use a diamondback 3g I had real trouble finding good mice after that. I just wish they'd stayed true to what the diamondback was, a good, affordable, optical sensor mouse. I'm very happy with the logitech g302 I purchased a week ago though.

Earlier this year I made the switch to all trackball life. Got a CST1350 Kid-Trac at work and a CST2545 L-Trac at home. I keep a CM Storm Spawn around for games. But even then, I'm getting comfortable with playing games on theh L-Trac.

What do you like specifically about trackballs? Or is it an anti-RSI measure?
G900 performs better than most wired mice I've used, and I'm a real mouse perfectionist, more so than keyboards. :p
it *can* be used wired too, and gain a slight boost in performance, but it isn't much (1-2 ms iirc better response time overall) because it performs so damn well wireless.
having no cable drag is pretty fantastic too.

Can you compare it to some other mouse? I'm really curious. The sweet spot still is the Avior 7000 for me personally.

I've got G502 and G303 to compare it to, but have had Avior 7000 as well.
the Avior is a well-built mouse, but the G900 isn't far off, just has a diff construction which might confuse some people (buttons are quite loose, due to shell design meant to give you the least resistance possible).
if you're talking about performance, G900 feels snappier and better even in wireless mode. :p
the butt is a bit heavy though, likely due to battery being placed there.
I can totally see why some people have already removed battery and use it wired only. should be an amazing mouse like that.
if only it was available at 1/2 of price and wired :|

Makes me curious... For me, the 3310 is best EVAAH. But people have already pointed out to me that the 3310 is not necessarily great and has smoothing.the butt is a bit heavy though, likely due to battery being placed there.

Yeah, the price is really steep on the G900. Perhaps it really IS worth it. I couldn't find ONE negative review of this mouse, not even on hardforum or OC.
I don't think there is anything really negative to say about it... what's "bad" to me, is really just personal preference things.
the measurable performance and performance feel when using it is just Da Bes, simply put.
I'm still debating getting one but it is a LOT for a mouse, even if it might be ~the ultimate~. I just don't care for the wireless part so it feels dumb to pay extra for it.

It's even more expensive than a KUL. As a matter of fact, this mouse is the Topre under the mice.
I feel more like this G900 is what the G502 should've been. Just give me this damm mouse with a cable and I'm sooo happy.

G502 performance-wise is actually better than wireless G900, but not by much.
I think the G502 is a good mouse with unfortunately some major flaws for me personally (shape being #1), and feet shape.
otherwise I'd probably keep using it.

Yeah I know what you are saying. I felt the G502 in a shop recently and it felt... well... not for me. Too bad... I want a mouse with the flawless 3366 soo bad. But too many sacrifices for me personally to justify buying the G502. Shame, really.

Gaming. It was fine for elite dangerous which is mostly a flight sim but FPS games were less fun. I still use the m570 for some games like Civ 5 and elite dangerous.
Respect that you can game with a trackball. I really feel handicapped while using one. I've once tried it for a week or so but I never got used to it.

Well, it looks like my DA Black is finally dying (no more drag and drop - it releases and picks up randomly, but single clicks still work). If I unplug and re plug it in, it will work for a couple seconds then go right back. I thought it may be that I don't use Razers software, so I tried loading that up, but I can't even drag the sliders within the program. Plugged in a 99 cent wireless mouse that I picked up as an add-on to have for my htpc and it works fine.

you can try and fix it, but you'd have to open the mouse and open up the switch..
it's really not hard to do, but maybe a little bit tedious. and it requires you to remove all 3 feet, so it's risky if you don't have a spare set.

That Ducky Secret doesn't look bad but given the side-by-side with the Razer, unless it's really tall, it's probably too small for me. I've clung to my Logitech G5 since most mice just feel smaller. Tried the Razer DA with no luck so was looking at a Zowie EC1-A or Steelseries Rival 300. Both seem large enough. Just that both seem to have other problems right now.
The Logitech G5 is an awesome mouse!

If I wanted to try one, is there a Windows 7 64-bit driver available?
I ditched my Diamondback and started using my G303 again. Just can't get over them light (but still solid) clicks, the weight, and that sensor. I like the shape a little more too I think. It's more raised so my hand doesn't cramp up.
Knowing me I'll probably switch again in a month or so.

I've always wanted one, but I like how the G303 gets skinny near the front. Makes it really easy to pull back.
I haven't realised how heavy the Intellimouse 1.1 is compared to a lot of mice, this thing weighs 147G, compared to a g100s, this is a piece of lead.

is this the intellimouse or the intellimouse explorer.

especially in the US, you can find the G100s incredibly cheap. and the shape isn't that much different from the G303, most find it to be more comfortable actually.
i meant that most find the G100s shape to be more comfortable than that of the G303 :-)
but i'm not sure how well a tiny mouse like that would sell.
i mean, there was also a lot of cry for a new G9-shaped mouse, but it looked like logitech considered that to be too niche to do a re-release for.
but i would definitely get a G1-like shape with a (wireless) 3366, preferably no side-buttons and a normal scroll wheel (not that dumb wheel on the G900).

Poor child, the G302/303 is a disaster with it's current shape. If they (Logitech) made a G3 style of shape, watch millions jump off the retail shelves throughout the world.
Most are tiny handed people which are still waiting for their mouse soul-mate, which has yet to surface.
For the rest of us, we have found the most perfect mouse yet made by Logitech and that is the G900.
G900 is my next mouse. Been meaning to buy it but I keep spending money on keyboards instead...
For you G900 users, can you leave the mouse charging overnight when your computer is off (via one of my usb 3s)? And how often have you been needing to charge it, anyway?
Since we are here already, still worth the purchase after ~months use? No new problems?
Still waiting for a sale, like someone to put one up on reddit or something. Maybe Black Friday is my best option... Though, it's likely one night I'll be up at 3 am and impulse buy it like I do with most of my stuff.
Someone recommend me the best reliable wired 4 or 6-button mouse for under $60.
Need to get one ASAP as my Feenix crapped out on me like the piece of crap that it is. Always had issues with it misclicking and scrolling weird, now the left click just doesn't work at all.
hahaha, that wedge...
Castor, Avior, or G502?
Trying to decide between the three.
Castor, Avior, or G502?
Trying to decide between the three.
Castor or G502 - shape should be the deciding factor here :p
Avior just isn't comfortable IMHO, if you put any of your palm on the mouse (claw grip is okay but... I don't think it's very ergo tbh. hand too flat position).

Fair enough. Supposedly the G900 has one of the best mouse sensors but I guess it would look weird in a non-creative work environment.
I recently found a setting in my Debians to reverse mouse acceleration. WTF.. so it didn't fix it completely but for now I'm 80% jitter free. I could rock the 8k cpi/dpi that my Sentey Rev. mouse is capable of if I was using my right hand to mouse. I'm not that accurate with my left hand so I keep the cpi/dpi at 3.2k for now.
I think it's pretty obvious that reversing mouse acceleration via software is not the best way to 'fix' those mouse jitters but it's a decent quick fix of sorts. Saving for the G900.. *whistles*

g900 definitely has the bigger butt. but I think an EVEN Bigger butt would be ideal.

This is my Elecom Nendo Orime (white version). Came from Japan, used Autohotkey to bind media functions to the buttons on the side. Only thing is that the wireless reciever must be in the front panel usb ports, because when plugged in the motherboard it tends to lose signal. Lovely mouse :)
The Feenix Vitesse just launched today.
Meh.

I liked my Nascita for all it's flaws, used it for about a year. Curious to hear feedback from some hands-on.
I've got a year old SteelSeries Sensei Raw that has fit my needs quite well. It is time to get a new one, it's starting to go on me. For a mouse that's gone through 2K+ hours of gaming it's held up very well.
I'm currently using a ****ty microsoft mouse, is there any reason to upgrade if I don't play games?
Currently using a Logitech G900 and I think its a really fantastic mouse. The only real con imo is the price. I've had a few other mice I've tried that have come relatively close to being what I consider the "perfect" mouse, but this is probably it for me.
Other mice I've used previously:
Feenix Nascita
Logitech G502
Logitech G303
Zowie EC2-A
Zowie EC2 eVo CL
Razer DeathAdder 2013
Ducky Secret RGB
Asus ROG Gladius
Feenix Vitesse
Logitech G9x
R.A.T. 3
Mionix Avior SK edition
I went with the g502. The only thing I bought at Insomnia last weekend. I really really like it, I had to go with something with a thumb rest which I've gotten used to, plus the texture on the side of it feels great. The mouse wheel feels really high which took a bit of getting used to, but I love being able to change between free rolling mouse wheel and normal mode. I don't mind the wire because my mouse movement is limited to about six inches either way anyway.
I'm actually getting used to changing modes and DPI as well.
excited for g pro but will probably still be disappointed and wish they remake g9x with proper sensor sigh

Agreed - g9x was the best mouse. Been using the g303 in the meantime while I hope for a worthy successor.

I was happily using my G9x until an incident involving a clumsy sibling and spilled beverage cut down my mouse in its prime. That was after they already ended production of the G9 line so I just got a G502 and get on with it. Happy with the switch TBH, it's a very competent mouse and a great sensor

502 is way too heavy, i have one at work. prefer 303 as a replacement, but both 502 and 303 are terrible for me to hold, they just have good sensors
is anyone using g502 here? do you guys feel like the mouse twitches sometimes?
that list says it jitters over 2000dpi.
I'm using 400 dpi and 1600 dpi, but it jitters on both.
hrrrrrmm.. could be the mouse pad..
Maybe it just doesn't like ur pad..
DId you try a black cloth pad.. that usually works with everything.
Tried on both my steel series and artisan mousepad and still having the same problem lol
I use a Razer Naga.
JUDGE ME, ****ERS. YOU WANT TO FITE, M8.
I need a new mouse, going on 4-5 years.
g502
but all the other buttons are useless
i like the scroll tho. haha
:p that's my least favourite part of the G502... great buttons etc. but the wheel is metal and painful to use.
G403 seems better in every way to me.

That's the main reason I don't ever use mine. It also adds a lot of weight and I like light mice.
I also don't like how one click is concave and one is convex, but I can overlook that.

I actually really like the weighty metal scroll wheel, I must have gorilla hands. It does help maintaining momentum while freewheel scrolling too. If I recall, when Logitech designed the G900 after the G502, they thinned out the wheel significantly and it resulted in a much lighter wheel feel while still retaining the solid metal feel. If only it wasn't so bloody expensive :(
ugh, i hate those scroll wheels. i can imagine the "casual user" could love them, but for me they are just loud and noisy, heavy, wobbly, unpleasant notches, unpleasant M3..
i mean, i never used the free-scroll function, and never used the rocking buttons (left and right from the wheel).
Free-scrollers are required for those looking through giant Excel forms and Access databases.Masochists.
Right now using a DXT Mouse that I received as a review sample. It's actually not that bad. Been using it since last week, and it's a fine work mouse. Lacks some features (back/forward buttons), and I would change some positioning, but, having it use the same DPI settings I have for my Logitech mouse, it's a nice break for the normal mouses I have.
(Attachment Link)
Been using the CM Storm Spawn for a while, really liking the feel of it even with a palm grip.
If CST made an optical version of the CST2545-5W I might reconsider. But until then..
G102. not a fan :-( in no way a bad mouse, but i just hate the coating-less ABS..
i've ordered a G403 and it should be here soon. hopefully it'll finally get me to stop buying more mice :'(

In your Dreams Bukkie ;) .
No such thing as STOP buying more mice, it does not compute in our world.
We are condemned to buy every new release of these type of instruments forever more. The sooner you realize that, the better off you'll be.
Sorry to break it to you, but then you'll want a g900 next lol :))
Probably my favorite mouse speaking of the g900, heavy enough and all the moving freedom, it's beautiful!

I m using Zowie EC2-A benq right now :thumb:
I use a piece of **** razer deathadder chroma that crashes my macbook everytime i plug it in...
I use the Zelesouris Ergonomic Vertical Mouse. Couldn't live without it, it's great.
Anyone else an ergonomic mouse user?
PBT?? deathadder elite?? what gave you that idea?
My Castor just arrived today.
I always thought my Mionix was the best feeling mouse in my hand, but it felt designed for a palm grip, and before the Naos I was mainly a claw gripper. The Castor is perfect for claw grip for me. Although I have seen other opinions that it doesn't suit the claw grip, it definitely works amazingly for me. I don't know how they made the mouse feel this good.
what do you think of zowie mice? This:
Speaking of Zowie, I have a problem with them. I've owned a couple of their ambidextrous mice, and the "no-bs" approach appeals to me, but…So, yeah…
All they do is copy classic shell designs (from Microsoft and Logitech), throw generic (although well-regarded) electronics in the mix, and overcharge for this. Actually, I wouldn't mind—I don't need most gimmicks anyway—if their customer service and quality control matched the price. Sadly, that's not the case in practice. Their current recall on models with Omron switches smells like TrulyErgonomic-level bull****, and it's not even the first time they've done this either… remember the 2013 recall, caused by coating issues? Basically, they've managed to **** up an equivalent of $10 OEM mice and sell it for about five times as much. In addition, the reports on quality of their customer service aren't clearly positive either.
i came from using a roccat kone xtd and i still miss that shape on my hand. The new Kone EMP is apparently superb.

My Logitech M500 just broke down after about 3-4 year usage, so now I'm stuck with my wireless logitech mouse which is literally squeaking in my hand. It's bad :DDoes it have to have RGB?
I would really appreciate an advice on a mouse that does not require a running software app (that saves it's RGB colors and modes on a mouse), maybe has a RGB and is around 50$ (please consider the fact that I'm from Eastern Europe, we don't have all the mice that US has, only the most popular and they are more expensive :D )
Right now I am considering Corsair Harpoon RGB - Is it going to be a waste of money?
The Corsair Harpoon has Corsair logo with RGB lighting on i. That's about it. RGB is not that important, but would be nice to have it :)My Logitech M500 just broke down after about 3-4 year usage, so now I'm stuck with my wireless logitech mouse which is literally squeaking in my hand. Does the new kone emp make use of a plastic scroll wheel? that's the only part that broke on my xtd, everything else is still fine.It should be the "titan" wheel like on the other mice.

Anyway, we have them at the office too. But I really hate them, they don't feel comfortable at all in my hand.
But I guess YMMV and if you are RSI-prone or already have it, it is a great relief to be able to have such mice.

So the reason Prophylaxis has become much larger a societal pursuit , is directly due to our increasing life-span..
Since you are a relatively young person today, you could imagine possibly adding even a few years to your current projected span..
Hands and hand health is overlooked.. many many old people have reduced function in their hands and as far as living in the human world.. Hand capability is second only to sight..
So you take your wrist.. Now turn it counter-clockwise as hard as you can, ANY mouse that you could be using is the --light version-- of doing that to your hand.. It's not good for it, and only a matter of time before that hand becomes semi-crippled..
---This is especially accelerated by the only increased computer use as we move ahead..
Yeah I can see that, you're probably right. But that still doesn't take away the fact that I really don't like the position of those mice, it just feels weird. But perhaps it just takes getting used to and it's much better after that.

Many of life's situations are hindered by our psychological protection mechanism.
For example, If I just tell someone that they're wasting their time with the Brand New $400 Aluminum flat keyboard they just bought.. Against all of the physical characteristics or potential benefits of the ergonomic keyboard, THAT person has to face the reality to MENTALLY abandon his most recent , Large purchase ..
$400 is alot of money to some people, and , to accept that uncorrectable reality that this was a waste of their efforts is tremendously stressful..
Because this threat to their mental stability Far exceeds the immediate improvement of their -Hand health- which is a problem either unforeseen or projected to occur much later.. They will arguably CORRECTLY choose to protect their own psychological balance.. rather than rationally re-evaluate their keyboard Mistake..
So, I say to you iLLucionist, as someone who can understand and at least be open on the subject of psychological-self-balming-delusions.. PERHAPS you are amidst of this common psychosis, which from the third person perspective is only impeding you from moving more --quickly-- onto a superior Mousing and keyboard platform..
Because --iLLuscionist-- recently acquired a G403, he can not simply Accept that it may be for naught, therefore he has to emphasize the negative weight of his short and potentially inadequate memory of previous vertical mouse trials..
Thereby protecting his current mental stability, without having to face the reality of having made a sub-optimal decision.
Accepting change and mistakes quickly is for the mentally strong.. and if we treat this as a skill.. You could see how this would be tremendously efficient and powerful in competition to other human adversaries you'd face in the future. !!
And so my explanation here is 2 different gifts to you.. The mouse, and the path to Cognitive dominance. //Friend.

Still using my G403.. I should have done this waaaay earlier. It's waaay better than the Avior 7000 I've been using previously.
I have got a new device at work, this MX Master in beige / white color. I have used before for a few years a G500, which I also have at home. At work I also use sometimes the pen of my Wacom tablet as mouse, which works more or less good, and an Evoluent vertical mouse (but maybe only 2-3 days per month).
For the first day using it I really have to adapt its shape to my hand. But this will be better over time for sure. The scroll wheel has its own life! I have not played with any settings so far. The clearance of the plastics is not so OK everywhere, I think it can be seen in the pictures.Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/tfokjnm.jpg)Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/lJBXL2P.jpg)
These are all 'mice' together, and the MX Master replaces the G500; the glossy solver finish on the vertical mouse is really ****ty:Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/1eYFJco.jpg)

...but the white one more precise in desktop publishing or office work. Damn, eveything sounds racist now!
What is correct in English language: mouse or mice? A single one, not more.

I'm not racist. I treat everyone equally the same, whether they are black, asian, or normal. // joke
But really.. this gender / race thing in 2016-2017 went too far.

I quit using my G9x a few years ago because it was making a high-pitched whine. I could hear it from across the room. Whenever I moved the mouse, it would change pitch. Quite distracting.
I'm still using my Microsoft WMO from a few years ago. I still like it! When/If it dies I'll probably buy another one immediately.

Never had that happen ever, have used about 5 now.
Bizarre!!!

That's weird because I've got 8 of them and they all work quietly, no noise at all.
The Mrs has one in her room and loves it to bits, the free scroll wheel is the best feature of that model :thumb: .
Probably has a bad capacitor making some noise. Unfortunately, it was bad enough that I just couldn't use it anymore.…and it was extremely common on high-end laser mice at the time.

The G9x was a fantastic mouse in its day but it is definitely dated. I think some of the PWM3366 mice have it beat for sure. A lot of Logitech mice still have the free scroll wheel but you no longer need to flip the mouse over and hit a button on the bottom to switch back and forth between free and detent modes. I never used that feature on the G9x because it just isn't convenient to constantly flip the mouse over when you need to switch scroll wheel modes.
Ok you give me a list of mouses similar to it's shape.Which out of the four anyway?
Older tech usually has better build quality. That's a (a) hasty generalization (it's not monotone decline over time), (b) survivorship bias…
It is a different grip tho, That is more "Palm style" while I am more "Claw" grip.
I have looked high and low, the G9x in it's form factor is one of a kind. The DPI is fine.
Nothing is dated about the mouse. Just like nothing is dated about a IBM Model F and are still sought after.
Older tech usually has better build quality.
The G9x has fairly objective shortcomings, such as the membrane switches that are very stiff, have limited lifespan and cannot be easily replaced (and it case of the side buttons, they hard to use without grips and wiggly with them). Or the sensor jitters even at approximately half its max. resolution. Those are things, that have generally improved in mice over the last few years. And they're typically measurable.
Also what anime is your avatar from?
Why do you even haven ten of them in the closet, if the "older tech" is so good quality? /s
Every single time someone thinks a new mouse dethroned the G9x I bought it, tried it, returned it. The G9x is like a glove that fits just right.
It's about consistency for a long period of time. Just in case SOMETHING DID HAPPEN, I got multiple spares, for multiple computers. On a related note, Jobs' consistent (and stupid) diet also significantly contributed to his health condition—and death.
I don't want to search for a mouse anymore.
I searched for years for the perfect mouse in my early 20s, I found one and was satisfied (still satisfied 7 years later)

Some people buy 10 black shirts and the same jeans because it's easier to have a consist thing that works every day.
Steve jobs did this with his clothing so does Obama. Consistency. Consistency. Consistency. Consistency.
A quote from jobs
"The funny thing with decisions is that when you make them, you actually expend mental energy. If you make too many decisions in too short a time frame, you significantly reduce your decision-making ability." This is known as decision fatigue.
I will have to give the HHKB a serious try one of these days.Jeez… (https://deskthority.net/review-f45/hhkb-pro-2-is-the-worst-keyboard-i-have-ever-used-t16677.html)
Currently switched my long time daily G602 to the Corsair M65 RGB Pro and loving it thus far, A Rubber armed Mouse bungee makes all the difference in the world with a wired mouse.Where would you recommend picking up a rubber armed bungee?
No bungee = ULTRA drag feels like ****
Metal arm bungee still slightly too much drag feeling
Rubber armed Bungee = Feels like a personal assistant holding the cord giving you just enough slack with no drag
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XRYVW2L/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Wow, that's pretty cheap. Thanks!
This is the one I use, Prime eligible under 15 shipped and has a USB 2.0 hub. The rubber is so soft I often forget the mouse is corded which coming from me means a good bit, as usually cords drive me INSANE on mice.
If you didn't already consider it, some gamers strip the braid from their mouse cables to make it lighter and freer.
The Xtrfy XG-M2 I'm using atm has a braided cable and I hate it.If you didn't already consider it, some gamers strip the braid from their mouse cables to make it lighter and freer.
Iv'e tried mice with pure rubber cables as well and have reviewed several from the Deathadder to the Steelseries rival etc and iv'e found (personally) be it braided or rubber makes little difference. It still exhibits excessive drag without a bungee and still unacceptable drag with a traditional bungee the rubberized bungee is the only solution I have found to my own comfort levels. Without it I would likely still insist on wireless or bust.
I had made a post which did not attract any interest above this currently.
I wondered if that 16,000DPI sensor is better than the 12,000DPI. Or if the former has any issues? Since it seems the 12,000 is still preferred. I do not know who makes them, Pixart or whatever. I am not talking about the amount of DPI but the overall accuracy of the sensor.
No, I was asking because I have read the 3367 has some issues. It also has some important the 3366 lacks. Of course DPI that high is not a selling point but the quality and features. The 3366 is darn near perfect even though it lacks a few new features and tracking technology in the 3367. There must be a reason Logitech did not switch to the 3367. Even though he 3367 would seem like an evolution it may not be. 12k DPI is still relevant of course so Logitech has o reason to switch is they do not feel it is superior. I like the new features, namely 1 DPI increments. I am not sure at this point if it is as good as the 3366. You cannot believe everything you read on the internet LoL. There were some bad sensors that had prediction Etc. The 3366 was the best sensor thus far. I do not know about the 3367. I guess I will just wait a while until the actual story emerges.
I would like to know how I use Gshift with 21 buttons? I do not see that in the software and no mention made of it. That is strange as I would think it is one more selling point.
Yes I assigned a Gshift button with the check circle you show. Now, how do I program the alternate buttons and how do I access them? I am sorry to be stupid of all people but you would think they would show this somewhere. The old software was much more intuitive IMO. Thank you for posting it.Well I'm posting from my phone and it was easier to take a photo of the screen at the time.
I also wanted to ask something. No offense against you whatsoever just curious. why does everyone take a screen picture when you can just take a screen shot?

there are some science news about the radiation emitting from wireless device that can cause cancer. like put your phone near your head while sleeping can cause brain cancer.
but i'm not sure if this scientifically true or not.
Inductive charging uses electromagnets. Wireless devices like cell phones use radio waves, which are non-ionizing. Neither of these pose any danger of causing cancer.

I eat all vegetables.. So I'm not worried about dying from it..
I'm merely pointing out, if you start adding routers, everyone's phones, transmitter towers.. It's quite a big bath..
The consequences are not known.. so if it's not absolutely necessary, maybe think twice.

i'm using a left-handed razer deathadder. it's the only non-mmorpg left-handed mouse i know of O_o
I am using an HP mouse made by LOGITECH right now.
At home, I've been using the Mionix Castor for about a year. Before that, I used the Mionix Naos 7000 briefly, but the finger grooves drove me crazy, so I gave it to my brother. Buying both of these was an attempt to replace my Logitech G500 (it still works; it's just not comfortable, and it doesn't feel as smooth now that I've used the Mionix mice [maybe it's the difference between laser and optical?]).
However, I am still not completely satisfied with the Castor's shape, so I've ordered a Zowie EC1-B and SteelSeries Rival 310 in hopes that one of them will have a more comfortable shape (they also have slightly better sensors apparently). They have yet to be shipped though.
At work, I can't stand using a mouse for some reason, so I switch between Logitech M570 and CST L-Trac trackballs.
This is going to be an unpopular opinion.
I like heavy mice with a high dpi. I also love competitive shooters, and I have found my preference here so polarizing, I keep it to myself.
I have my reasons though. When under pressure, I have always had problems with accuracy because my muscles begin not knowing their own strength, and it is difficult to calm them. This is a normal problem, but there are 2 legitimate ways to address this problem. The first is to slow the mouse WAY down so you need more movement. But you can also make the mouse weightier and achieve the same thing, and then you don't have to fling the mouse around like a madman all the time.
It is the same because it takes more power to move the mouse. You can be more precise with a heavier mouse. But like I said, no one agrees with me so I keep it to myself. You do you and I will do me. No one has ever realized my DPI is high when spectating me.This is going to be an unpopular opinion.

Low DPI isn't typically used to prevent accidental movements, it's used so you can make very small movements and get very precise, pinpoint control. Using a large mousepad and "flinging the mouse around like a madman" is simply a side effect of gaining that precise control. That control would be lost if you use high DPI because a small movement will always result in quick, jerky ones on screen.

I use a Logitech G900 and I absolutely love it. I was a little worried about going wireless but I've never had an issue before.Loved mine, but be careful with pressing too hard to click. Use a light finger. That mouse has a hinged left and right click, which is great since there is no plastic fatigue, but it is bad because you can more easily exceed the specifications of the switch(in spite of them using the best microswitches). The switches are easy to replace though, as they have their own daughter boards, but opening the mouse is a royal pain.
