Some cancellation mods could look nice too, especially on the wider keys. “Par avion” might be suitable as a legend, but it might not be as widespread as I think it is. Great aesthetic as is, though.

Thirded! Specifically: an R2 1.75u key, an R3 1.25u key and an R3 1.5u key. Since the legends are agnostic, an entire 40s kit would be overkill anyway.

...I'll admit I kinda wish the legends on the accent keys were white, but it's a fun idea with one of my favorite colors (red!!!) regardless.

Anyway, the more I look at it the more I like it. It seems also very versatile: it could work perfectly on so many colors, beside green or pink I can see anything else matching nicely, even yellow boards.

Awesome use of generic legends! With some creativity, you can really support a lot of 40s layouts in the base provided. Might be beneficial to spell that out for people on GB pages though.

I vote Dispatch on the R2 1.75u, Send on the R3 1.25u, and Return on the R3 1.5u.
I know you didn't list that last one, but hear me out; the Return mold already exists in that size and row (it's in GMK DMG) and it better matches your base kit.

Personally I don't really care what the print on the key is. I just want physical compat. So long as the right size is in the right row, I am happy. But I like all of those options.

From the name I was expecting a set in UPS brown. I was delighted to see classic air mail (par avion) envelope colors (I remember those envelopes were usually white but sometimes had a pale blue tint.) Great inspiration and a beautiful set!
