Just got home from a 12 day vacation, which ended with 3 nights of camping in the Eastern Sierra Nevada. Campsite was at 9800' elevation, hiked up to about 11k. Absolutely gorgeous, pristine mountains and lakes. One of my favorite places on earth.
Came across this cool old ship in Aptos, CA. Was a WWI-era concrete ship that was re-purposed and towed to this pier in 1929 for entertainment purposes. A couple of storms in recent years broke it apart. Pretty interesting bit of history IMO. You can read more about it here:
