Silver was the most ordered color, with 24. Black was next, with 12. Red had 5 orders, then blue with 4. This makes for a total of 45.
The extras are being made with some of the leftover money for incidental costs, which are part of why this GB is more expensive than round 1. Extras will also be sold after the GB at a slight premium ($450 as opposed to $400), so I'd recommend buying sooner rather than later.
A few people have been asking me (politely and privately) why this GB is more expensive than round 1. First, it is made in Canada as opposed to China, and because of that the machining cost is significantly higher. Second, the custom boxes cost more than the previous shipping solution, but will help to prevent issues with missing parts and shipping damage. Third, there is a higher margin in this GB than in the last one to cover incidental costs (extras, raised prices on certain parts, and other minor things), as well as to assist in funding for prototypes in further GBs.
