Well, 60% is one size, tenkeyless is another. Probably the most popular non-backlight 60% board is one of the pokers (poker,2,X) which is easily programmable. The V60 mini and the KBT Pure are good backlight options. I'm not sure if you want a totally 60% or tenkeyless form factor, the Leopold FC660 is sort of in between, like a 60% but with a short right shift, arrow keys, and delete/insert

The Leopold FC660 is a great "almost 60%" layout. It includes dedicated arrow keys and is only a tiny bit bigger than a Poker II. If you want programmability, though, there aren't too many choices. In order of programmability from least to most you have Ducky Mini, Poker II or a custom (GH60, GON NerD60 or similar). The Ducky Mini has a programmable Fn layer, Poker II is fully programmable, but limited in terms of where you can position the Fn and Pn keys, GH60 and GON boards are completely programmable, you can set any character or function to any keyswitch.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

I agree the fc660 option would be great if you needed the standard cluster arrow keys on the right

Have you looked into 75% keyboards like the kbt race and the noppoo chocolate mini?
I personally hate the look if them, but they might be right up your alley.

Thanks for the answers.

I'm open to both tenkeyless and 60% (thought they were the same  :D), just depends on if it's a good choice. Would still like to have the FN row but that's not really an issue.

Will look into the mentioned boards  :thumb:!
Well if you want a dedicated F row then 75% or TKL would be for you.

Maybe a 65% custom from http://www.gonskeyboardworks.com might interest you.
