Yep, I went down the rabbit hole of the China GB and it does look like hotswap is 7u only. So it is just like the Key65 in that respect. Hopefully that also means we can solder underglow! Hype. Now to forget about this until February 2021.

Do you know wether the plate supports 6,25u? I got a solder pcb so that shouldn't be the problem.

A design so nice I bought it twice. Plus like 6 plates because I need to try them all to see what matches best.

The hot swappable PCB supports only WKL layout with 7u spacebar.
The solder PCB supports WK/WKL, split BS, split left/right shift, ISO, ALPS.
This is the setup I use on almost all 80% keyboard designs, and I believe it's the best and the most correct settings.

The plate supports both WK and WKL. It doesn't support ISO and ALPS tho.
I also believe it's the best setting in general for a GB.

(Edit: The hot swappable PCB doesn't support 6.25u spacebar. It supports [1.5u 1u 1.5u 7u 1.5u 1u 1.5u] bottom row, which means it does support 1u Win keys.)

I ordered a regular kit with hotswap pcb. Then will I have empty space not covered by blockers? If so, hotswap shouldn't have been an option for regular..

Not sure how I should call it. I guess Tsangan is also not correct.

So anyone wonders how many kits were overall purchased? since the keeb was open for 24 hrs it might be over 1000, wonder if they will manage to have the 5 months delivery window with good qc and this amount of orders

Not that many. I haven't counted yet I think there are around 500 orders after excluding the canceled ones. Some people ordered more than 1 kits so the number of kits is more than 500.

I always post the GB numbers on my website like this: https://fox-lab.github.io/gbs/Key-65.html
Sorry for the ugly formatting but I hope everyone GB participant can know how unique his/her board is and how many same kits are out there.
Edit: I'll post the number for Time 80 RE when I'm available, not anytime soon.

I think the bottom row will be 1.25U 1U 7U 1.25U 1U 1.25U, like RAMA Works' U80-A.

I was a bit confused by that as well, but I assumed senter was talking about the PCBs in the part that you quoted.

WKL on a case has always meant what you pictured.

Don't know the pantone codes, but shoko will look great on the blue board if it's anything close to the renders!

The blue color does not look like render, it looks like a real photo....

That's a photo series, as Senter describes it, not a series of renders. Also you can see the little fingy sneaking in, in one photo. But yea, that blue/shoko photo almost made me change my decision from black to blue. Kat Comet coming up also seems like it would potentially be a nice match, always hard to say ahead of time though.

The hotswapp PCB only support 7U spacebar right?

I think I purchase the wrong stablizers.

Just caught up on reading the IC thread and saw this post on the new powder coating process: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=107276.msg2931493#msg2931493 (also finally had time to watch minterly's video and wow e-white looks amazing)

Is there going to be anything different with how e-white is done?

E-white is not powder coating - the process is electro-chemical not unlike anodization actually. I think the powder coat is only for certain colors on this GB.

Yeah I understand that e-white isn't being powder coated, I was wondering that since the powder coat is being done differently if there was also something different with the electroplating this time.

I ordered e-white and another color that is powder coated so I was really just curious.

There is no point in asking when this round hasn't even come close to delivering yet.
