ok.ok nope, ok yes ?
ok.ok nope, ok yes ?
Hmmm1. A plain badge could be a possibility too
1. Would love to see an option to opt out from the badge thing in HHKB version
2. Can you please show an exploded view of the keeb and attach any sound tests? Would be definitely helpful to assess the sound, given that I’m not very familiar with the previous run.
3. Can we agree on timely updates here on Geekhack, and not on Discord server number 10004169000 I’d need to join for no apparent reason at all? Mailing lists would work too.
All in all, kinda interesting. Will follow the thread. Also now I want to read on the Drop drama lol
Fully understand your position and thank you, after-sale form link for those who purchased on Drop is also available in the Post (at the end)ok.ok nope, ok yes ?
OK yes I like the design, but a lot of people had issues the 1st time around. I appreciate you have explained that in your post. Also I am still very sore from the VN66 that never materialized and was another great take on the Apple board. I will follow the thread to see how this develops.
Thanks for a prompt answer!Hmmm1. A plain badge could be a possibility too

2. Pre-production sample has been shipped and is a couple of days away from me, I will record and upload a sound test video here. Exploded view are not up yet since we are still working on the gasket kit, shall put one up when its been finalized.
3. Updates ofc will be posted here, Discord and also mailing list (spam filter has been a issue with missing emails)
Thank you for sharing your experience, I'll pass it on to FanC StudioThanks for a prompt answer!Hmmm1. A plain badge could be a possibility too

Regarding the badge, would still love to have an option to not have it completely. It ruins the symmetry for me and also it’s exactly in a place where I often rest a side of my palm with HHKB-like boards so even the slightest protrusion would end up in an unpleasant feeling for me.
No concerns that KBDFans have had a IC running for over half a year for a board called Hello? https://kbdfans.com/products/ic-hello-v1-keyboard-case (https://kbdfans.com/products/ic-hello-v1-keyboard-case)By the timeline of it, Y0ghurt had it first ;D
Yes.No badge squad advance! ⚡️

2. Beige please.

... of all the issues...
I quite like the placement of a badge but just not the one shown. Maybe make some new suggestions around the name 'Hello Again'"one more thing..."
I love it!
Ima nut, GLWIC
YES, YES, YES, YES Sign me up for 3!
Looks v cool. Watched
Super cool design and really digging this.
Can we please get Alps support and Apple key cap support?
"60% Universal Layout PCB"
I know this is top mount, but do you think is there any chance one could adapt it to use other 60% universal layout PCBs instead? I ask from the point of view of someone who would love to be able to use Alps switches in this case if at all possible (and I don't assume this kit's included PCB would support that).
+1 for Alps support and option for no badge.
alps support?
First picture is definitely the Ewhite, what is the second picture? Seems like the Ewhite, but the color is extremely off. I am certainly interested in the HHKB version, just like the first pic, but if the color is closer to the second pic, then not that sure about it anymore :/Both pic are E-white, second pic colour look different is due to lighting set-up in renders
Since the PCB is connecting with a daughterboard do you think the USB port could be moved to the center?
Also, the bottom row of the plate is a mess with all of the layouts you're trying to support. I would much prefer a dedicated 7u spacebar bottom row plate, especially for the HHKB version. I would also like to see a half plate option if possible.
+1 to beige
I like the badge, but it maybe it's a little too close to the caps? It feels a little cramped to me.
Yes.

Exactly this.
Showing a beige cw in the header, hyping me up and then not offering beige :(
I have personally thought about ALPS support, tho 3rd party PCB could be a good alternative option and since plate file is open source that can be altered to support Alps switches.
The reason not to officially support Alps is that since FanC and I never designed PCB for this type of switches means there is a good chance more thing will go wrong and pushing GB date wayyyy back

The fact your PCB will be open source is highly appreciated in this case!
How will the kit's PCB be attached to the plate in this design? Are the screw holes the same as a regular standard 60% PCB (Vortex style)?
What is the specific hotswap layout? Bonus points if Backspace and RShift are split by default; that'd be an instant buy. Most likely it will be a standard 60% to be compatible with both HHKB top case and standard top case but you do have a legit point. I'll pitch the idea to FanC
Otherwise, really like the form factor, and everything about this board checks my boxes. It would be cool to pair this with XDA Oblique.
Hi! quite like this. Could you remove the mounting points on the side and under the space bar? That generally improves typing feel.
Hi,
I'm one of the original buyers, and I reached out via the aftersales formular couple of days ago, when can I expect a reply?
btw. great board, love it....
Thanks in advance
You had me at "hello".

So, I joined the Drop GB. There were a few of problems that I ran into:wow, what a mess that been left to us. we try to pick up the pieces that were left unattended by ryloo and Drop. Not a coder myself but I'll try to look into github repo issues, thank you for bringing it up
- the plate didn't actually support split space bar layouts.
- QMK firmware was not merged into the mainline. It was just in some random Google Drive buried in the Drop comment thread... I actually had to spent a lot of time porting the firmware back into QMK's main repo: https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/pull/11050 (https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/pull/11050). But still, VIA support is not in there since I don't know much about VIA and left it out of the port. I also skipped the split space bar layouts since the plate actually doesn't support them. There is also an active fix waiting to be merged: https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/pull/11685#pullrequestreview-579728709 (https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/pull/11685#pullrequestreview-579728709). I think you guys really shouldn't overlook details like the QMK firmware and be more active working within the QMK main repo.
- The PCB design is also a bit sketchy as I broke connector strip for the daughter board and had to order some from ebay...
- The case is quite pingy and could definitely use some foams (both plate & case).
Overall, I actually love the look of the board a lot. I was lucky enough to not have my case scratched. Good luck with the new GB. I hope you guys could fix some of the problems I pointed out.
1. Beige colour is undergoing testing, more likely to be Electric static coated Beige (smooth matt finish)
2. Properly shaped gasket kit is on order
3. Removed Left, Right, and Spacebar mounting point on the plate due to popular demand
4. New plate will also add in split Spacebar support (Drop's run didn't support split Spacebar)
3. PCB is getting revised completely, mainly to support JST connector cable and outright supporting the latest Unified-Daughterboard design published by ai03. Will also add-in anti-static measure to the main PCB as well.
Why are rows 3-5 so much more squished together?

Pretty sure those keycaps aren't mounted, but just sitting on the plate
Will there be an option for HHKB layout without a badge? From what I read on the discord, there will be NO badges available.

Any more deets on the GB? Are the number of units capped at anything? Where it will be sold?
So final beige color will be powder coated and not e coated?
This is gorgeous, and I have a certain attachment to the word "hello" so I am very tempted. Bummed there will be no badge though, I quite liked it. Got some pondering to do with my wallet...
So final beige color will be powder coated and not e coated?
Yes, that's right
PM ahoy!So final beige color will be powder coated and not e coated?

Thats awesome. Now I just need to find what to do with my drop e-white one so I can grab this beige case. Speaking of the drop case will the usb daughterboard of this run be compatible with that case (like screw placement the same?)
