So now I am waiting on SP to redo them, and no we do not get to keep these for free, SP is willing to sell them at a discount price but i need to fork the money up front so dunno about doing that, I might offer this in a GB for like 2 days with instant payment and those will only be the ones we're keeping. Something along those lines, please please please do not buy like 200 and go and sell them for $8 a piece I don't really want to see that.
Custom shapes and images are anywhere from $35-$45 depending on the complexity. This particular image will require a new grid along with a new legend and falls into the $35 range.
Any UK folk wanna combine on the shipping? I want one of each key.

Been so busy i didn't have time to check the thread~ I think the op should be changed.. i feel its still misleading.
It sounds like jil_jil already put in his order when he hasn't yet. We didn't start at the $0.71 tier but the base tier. jil_jil no longer has that commitment of purchasing any amount to start us off at the $0.71 tier because we purchased enough, thinking that jil_jil already placed an order of 250. I myself thought we started at the $0.71 price tier so i ordered more on that fact.
Not bashing on anyone but i was just hoping the op could be changed because i feel its very misleading the way it is. I don't want to change my order, but i was just hoping to clarify it for other buyers.

I covered the order up to 250/each to get the $0.71 for anybody who's in. Even if only me & an other guy care about it and he wants just 1/each I'll take the rest. I do it because the base idea is mine, the guy who make the sexy designs is cool, and the guy running this GB is awesome, & I think people will like it alot, like me. The 0.71 price tier also could encourage more people join in. Now I look back and see ~60 people share the joy with me and I'm happy, I don't need more.
Now you see the design is sexy, but you complain the price still not good enough for you, cause you want 0.51 instead of 0.71 that I cover it up for you from the begining. And what do you want now? I must cover the order up to 500/each to get the price tier you want? I've tried my best and done my turn. I'm a happy camper now. Why don't you take the responsibility and order 250/each to cover the next price tier for everyone from now on? Every one will be happier and says thank you. You can stop whining about the price, and do something reality to make this happen if you really love the keycap as much as at the moment you posted your first reply in this topic.

For the SVG, as I am sure you know the point on the question mark won't be quite as defined due to the constraints of the cutter used. The point being the tip of the question mark - really the skinniest area. We will use a 0.012" cutter on this, so that point will essentially be a 0.012" radius.

My 2 cents - I think you should offer the discounted top row riddlers with a cap at 10 per person and then those who ordered original riddlers can have them shipped all at once (unless they want to pay extra shipping)I'd actually prefer the esc-row keycaps, as it's only one row off in Dvorak, and it has been noted that the esc row for SP in similar to the QWERTY row, so it actually rather fits.
Of course I would defer tsangan who clearly knows what he is doing.
I say this might be a happy blessing. I actually might like to use a bunch of these for the esc row. Tsangan any idea when you might be doing these as a quick GB for the error caps or can we buy them from sig plastics directly?

What are your thoughts on running a day or two gb for those who do want the keys that already ordered, and selling the rest off at a premium? I guess that opens the doors for undercutting of you and taking longer possibly to sell them off. So far every time I made a GB, most people that order a big amount is to sell it at a later date at a higher cost, which leads to me working and they profit.

Not at all, that’s clearly not fair. Selling at cost just works with pre payments. Which I’d be willing to do, but sadly this is probably impossible to quickly organize now. Don’t know, that’s up to you, I just want you to know that there are folks willing to help out.
I would pay 2$, too, but I'd like to buy 12 of them which I won't do at that price. I don't even bother about basically donating 20$ to you if I did buy at that price (I'm fine with that, really!), I just want as many keys as possible to be spread at low prices. At 2$ each we won't buy that much, while this group buy was so insanely cheap because many went ahead and bought more than they needed. Which is what got us the low prices, and hence the .35 on this one, too. But I agree that giving out hundreds to guys that just want to resell them isn't a good thing to do either. We want many to get the keys, and not create the same situation we have now, just with others making the profit.

This is Geekhack where $400 keyboards are the norm.
There seem to be a lot of people willing to take the risk off his shoulders (if that is what he is worried about), and collaborate to get this done in a more traditional manner. Ultimately it's his choice, and he has built a reputation here with his previous group buys, but I have to say that I am pretty disappointed with the approach Tsangan chose. If he wants to profit out of this he can, but I feel a ROI of 460% is too high.
I think a good compromise would be selling them at $1 a key (to the people that are already in this group buy), and maybe $2 a key to everyone else. I still don't like this idea but at least it doesn't feel like you're trying to completely profit off of us.
I think what fstop said in a previous post is very accurate to how I feel.

give all the unsold keys to a homeless shelter so that the homeless people who have trouble surviving day to day can put them on the mechanical keyboards they've scrimped and saved for because they and novelty keys are clearly essential products for survival, more so than food, shelter, and alcohol. done, done and DONE. PROBLEM SOLVED, TSANGAN. time to wrap this sucker up!

Does anyone honestly thinl there will be 100 buyers to buy 12 ? keys? or 2 buyers with 50 keyboards each and want ? for all their Fn keys on all their 50 cherry compatible keyboards?

People are taking things too personally I think. There are lots of different people in this world, and people are going to have varying opinions on this. Just because someone's opinion is different to yours doesn't mean that they are trying to offend you. We're all just voicing our opinions, as long as no one is personally attacking anyone else, I don't think any of this discussion should be an issue. Calm down everyone! If someone's post truly was offensive, report it.
If you don't agree with someone, voice that, but don't just call them names and cut them out. That's my 2c on this... So keep it civil guys!

Alright decision has been made and the extra R1 (ESC Row) keys will be sold at $2/key, if you think all I'm doing is trying to make lots and lots of money off you I will direct you to the last 3 pages of this thread.
To everyone else, thank you for your understanding and I hope you enjoy the keys when I send them out.
