Hello Geekhack!
This is an interest check for a round 2 of the "Deep" deskmat,
the optical illusion, minimalist mat.

Current Status:  GB IS DONE! :)





The Deep Deskmat round 1 ran as a group buy on March 2021 with 5 colors
(black, white, beige, hackerman, and gum). This time, I would like to ask for your
help in finalizing the colorways for round 2 (more choices!). Please vote for your
favorite colors in the IC form below! See the results of the voting below!

The final colors for Round 2 represent both new and old colors! There will be 2 returning
colors (revised design with new subtle gradients too) and 3 new colors based on the
voting from the IC form. Here are the final picks!

Lavender | white* on lavender




Navy | cyan on navy blue

Specifications:

- 900 x 400 x 4 mm
- Stitched edges
- Rubber non-slip bottom


I have also updated the design of the Deep Deskmat for this round.
Some of the minor changes are:

- subtle gradients to help the illusion
- minor changes to the layout
- offered more colors to pick from


These are designed as 900x400x4mm. The keyboard is a RAMA WORKS
u80 render. Thank you RAMA WORKS for the keyboard design!

I did try this but manufacturing wise it was difficult to properly align the edges, this way it's easier for manufacturing to reproduce. I can try to show you a sample later of what it would look like if the edges were pushed all the way though

I did try this but manufacturing wise it was difficult to properly align the edges, this way it's easier for manufacturing to reproduce. I can try to show you a sample later of what it would look like if the edges were pushed all the way though

That'd be wonderful! It's an insta-buy if it's white, hopefully it's close enough to that cause it looks a bit too yellow for me right now. Buying the White variant either way. :)

Thanks for pointing it out! Looking back I do see how it seems more yellow than clear. I'll most likely go with the white lines instead!

It was a hard decision to limit the returning colors to just 2 slots but I also wanted to give more changes to the new colorways :( thank you for the support!
