About |

After such great feedback from round 1 and after more requests than I was expecting, I wanted to bring Rainy Day back for a round 2. I didn't want round 1 folks to feel pressured into getting another round by changing and adding a bunch of things to the set. There were a few changes that were needed though. But as always I am open to feedback and criticism and am happy to make further changes that suit your needs, to the best of my ability.

Important Notes:
- The colors will be the exact same as round 1. The renders may look slightly different though. However the final outcome should be identical or extremely close to round 1. I will have pictures of the real caps below.

Thank you so much for rerunning this!! Has to be one of my all time favorite sets. Always regretted not picking up the Hangul alphas kit when I had the chance. Also thank you for making it "Caps Lock" instead of "Caps". That was my only complaint for R1.

That seems to be the genius marketing strategy that I accidentally created lol. It's interesting because the Hangul kit didn't do super great in round 1 so I didn't expect there to be so much demand for it this time around. That might have been due to the Hangul kit being separate from the base kit. There seems to be quite a vocal demand for it now though so I will certainly explore adding it back either as an add-on kit or maybe as part of the(a) base kit.

Another render mistake, looks like 2x mod pipe instead of 1 alpha and 1 mod pipe.

Yeah, R1 Hangul kit's orders were only about 19% of Base kit's. Some were probably turned away by the extra cost, but how many?

Offering two Base kits would make everyone happy, but Base MOQ would essentially be double.

This is one of my favorite sets, and I’m honestly tempted to get another base so I can have a Caps Lock vs R1’s Caps, but really, the magic is in being able to order a deskmat after foolishly forgetting to the first time around!

Happy it’s back for more people to enjoy (and please, for the love of whatever gods you pray to that you can slip me a couple of “caps lock” keys lol)!

Your voices have been heard. Due to the overwhelming feedback received, a Hangul kit has been added to the Interest Check. I am still actively reviewing and taking action on other feedback as well, just wanted to post the Hangul kit since that is like 80% of all the feedback right now lol.

Your feedback has once again been heard. Windows caps locks are back. I thought about how to best include them in the offering that made the most sense for the most people. I ended up putting them in the spacebars kit again and renaming it to "spacebars+" to reflect the change. My reasoning was:

1) the windowed keys were in the spacebars kit last time and people seemed to like it.
2) people who bought R1 base kit can just buy spacebars+ to get the "caps lock" stepped key they always wanted for a much lower financial commitment than an entirely new base kit. Or, if they want a new basekit because of shine, they probably also want new spacebars for the same reason anyway.
3) the spacebars kit is already pretty robust so these 2 keys shouldn't raise the price by much and thus shouldn't make or break the deal for people only interested in the spacebars.

Of course, these are just my thoughts. It's your opinion that matters so let me know what you think about this arrangement and how it could be improved to serve your needs. I won't edit my current IC form, to keep the data clean and consistent, so in regard to the windowed keys, just let me know here.

CandyKeys is not a great vendor tbh. Oblotzky is probably the best EU vendor when it comes to keycaps. Other than that I've had good experiences with Keygem and EloquentClicks as well

Designer and I did not leave off on a good note last time, we have no interest in running a GB, because we would like to avoid politics and things that do not benefit the customer, as well as that GBs are not our strong point hence why the negative feedback here. I have vouched my interes  in buying a majority of MOQ WITH International kit but we have had no response about this. I also voiced a comment here before but I either it didnt post or got deleted.

We believe a set like this has a much greater reach if its available to grab and ship in-stock and with GMK leadtimes this is now feasable.

idk what the status of this is (too dumb to read the thread) but I'm trying not to buy GMK until I use all the sets I have but Rainy Day would be the exception. I lived in Seattle forever and miss home sometimes. This is a beautiful set!

Nice looking set.

Any chance you'd consider classic legends for Print, Pause, and the numpad (at least just the number key sublegends/arrows). I think it tends to look nicer on icon+text modifier sets. While the cleaner look does seem to go better with icon-only sets. Admittedly, I did Print/Scroll/Pause on Dolch R5 before, but seeing it in person made me change my mind.

Also, I know it's not depicted as clearly on the render, but can we just make sure that Pg Up and Pg Dn, etc actually have the space between "Pg" and "Up/Dn"? Don't know if I've seen GMK ever go with it altogether, but sometimes they do seem to go with as-depicted renders so just covering ground there by mentioning it.

Otherwise, it's nice to see proper legends on 1.5u Backspace and stepped Caps Lock. :thumb: GLWIC/GB!

Any chance you'd consider classic legends for Print, Pause, and the numpad (at least just the number key sublegends/arrows). I think it tends to look nicer on icon+text modifier sets. While the cleaner look does seem to go better with icon-only sets. Admittedly, I did Print/Scroll/Pause on Dolch R5 before, but seeing it in person made me change my mind.

I second both suggestion Lightning made here. The classic legends with front print for print/scroll/pause definitely hit different IMO. Then I'm thinking it's just the renders, but I also would like to see a space between Pg & Up/Down on the finished sets.
