Those are the correct links. :) There is no pcb, just the membrane on an M.

Well, technically, there is a PCB in the Model M. It just has nothing to do with the keyswitches, and you wouldn't cut it at all. (It's what the controller is on.)

And the controller is going to be replaced. The connectors on the controller board are still needed. But these could be taken from old rubber domes or bought new.

Thanks for the clarification; I got a bad sense of scale from the pictures and thought the two membranes sandwiched a PCB; one separate from the controller.
Now I assume that I can take the membranes from two keyboards and simply fold the unused halves under the key mounts, and have both sets of membranes connect to the controller.
