Gray PBT - where?
« on: Mon, 16 January 2012, 15:52:45 »
Hey. I want to pimp my Noppoo Choc Mini White a little. So I was reading gh, looking for some inspiring stuff and I suddenly fell in love:

Any idea where can I get this color, engraved or blank, PBT keycaps for cherry MX switches? Prefferably 87set.

Also, can I replace all the keycaps in Noppoo Choc Mini? F1-F12 feels smaller, but maybe because it has lower profile.

I had this same question about a month ago. You won't be able to find any on online stores. What I resorted to is buying black RIT dye and dying white PBT caps, and take them out of the dying solution before they turn completely black so that you get a nice gray.

I would have done this, but I'm not a fan of SP, or waiting half a year to get them. How much does a TKL set in PBT cost anyways?

Are those really gray? They look more like black.

nice, but sounds kinda risky. you have any pictures of your keyboard?

i think i will stick to my nice, thick default pbs keys in noppoo. plus a nice, red escape key from gb4. :)

I think you probably know this by now but yeah that's what it refers to.

So no alternative ways to get that sexy grey coloured keycaps? Engraved would be awesome too. The prices for blanks in GB4 are pretty high since very few sets of such keycaps are being ordered.
