Very nice. I still have my original Nautilus set.
Does GMK make a convex 1.75u spacebar now? What about 1.25u and 3u?
How well would the RAMA cap match the Ouro Jules?
No ErgoDox. No Colevrak. :/
is this still the same color as round 1?
Hey! Does anyone know if the yellow of Nautilus matches that of Rama Heavy Industry (https://ramaworks.store/products/pbt-heavy-industry-seq3)?
The International kit has hit MOQ!
I have been comparing the renders in this set to the renders in the Group Buy for Nautilus V1 as well as to "IRL" examples (i.e. different videos) and it seems to me that the base color of the non-modifier keys are using a lighter shade of blue than in the previous run. Link to GB Nautilus v1:
https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=85336.0
The fonts of the letters also seem smaller than in the previous run.
Are there any changes to the color palettes and/or fonts used in this run compared to Nautilus V1?
EDIT: For those who are interested, Zambumon has responded to this question previously in the IC thread:
https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=104475.0
"Nautilus 2 will be using the same colors as the previous round and I have instructed GMK to use the same colors that we had during the first round. The goal is indeed being able to mix and match, but keep in mind that the color matching process is not that easy and there could be slightly differences between the first and second round."

Zambumon can clarify, but it’s probably just because keysets (and colors in general) can look different in videos, photos, and real life than they do in renders. Color science is surprisingly complex, and color matching can be difficult. Photos and videos you may have seen may not accurately reflect the precise color of the set depicted because of how the creator color graded the image/video and whether or not they calibrated with a color target. There is also a difference in apparent luminosity with colors in real life and on screens. Imagery and colors tend to appear lighter on screen than they do in person because screens are emissive (they are themselves giving off light) whereas physical objects in person are reflective, reflecting light from a light source (the color and temperature of which may vary and also affect the apparent color of something. Last, the monitor or mobile device you’re viewing on and the intensity and color of the ambient light around you can affect the appearance of color.
*end rant*
If you can tell by my screen name, I’m a photographer. I worked in grad school as an archival photographer for a museum, where every photo had to be ensured to be completely color accurate to maintain an accurate record. There’s a surprising amount of work that goes into it and a lot of ways for color not to appear the way it does in real life. If Zambumon says it’ll be the same color, I believe it. Taking it with the obvious grain of salt that GMK might not get the color matching 100%. For what it’s worth, my computer monitors are routinely calibrated, and I’ll still get keysets that don’t look 100% like what I thought they would. That doesn’t mean they don’t look incredible though. Also sorry if this came off as stern or condescending. I’m honestly just a photography and color matching nerd who can’t contain his enthusiasm.

GMK's color accuracy with Carbon R2 vs Carbon R1 was spectacular. If there's any color variance, I expect it to be minimal.
The International kit has hit MOQ!Yay! :)

Wow that's a massive jump on the last day.
That last day jump was so huge.
Dang, I got into this hobby way too late. Will there be extras available? If there are, I will hop on a set immediately.Yes there are =)

would definitely go in on an R3
would definitely go in on an R3
The set has not shipped yet and extras will be available.
Will extras be available from most of the vendors?
Will extras be available from most of the vendors?
yes but some vendors already sold their extras. dailyclack and one of the EU vendors (forgot which one) start selling extras right after GB finishes. dixie mech will have extras after the GB ships.
What's the story with this? Haven't heard anything in quite a while.
GMK NAUTILUS 2 *
IN TRANSIT
Shipment was picked up this week and hopefully will arrive next week.
Deskpad-only order have been shipped. (Except a few people who have been emailed about their order)
RAMA-only orders have been shipped.
Love the set, thanks for running! Unfortunately the GMK r2 issue is present in it... Mine kind of have an out of the box "shine" sort-of.Show Image(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210224/99d9a9334c68823e342ca2f633815486.jpg)Show Image(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210224/6cdf9d0dde12c21c32661f21aa0a5ba5.jpg)
So first you gotta type on it to unshine, then you gotta limit typing to prevent more shine. Got it.
This issue is an absolute disaster these are shipping looking like used goods.
Hopefully we don't get designers telling us GMK has always shipped like this like the spacebars tho
Ooph. Well mine are stuck in GA for over 12 days with no movement. I really hope when they get here they don't have this issue!Apparently this issue is within the QC standards set by GMK and Omnitype, so there isn't much to do. Still doesn't feel great, and it will harm my ability to resell if I ever want to
If it is really bad, couldn't you take it up with your vendor and get a replacement or your $ back?
Or does it not work like that? I thought they kept some extras for QC issues, no?

I think people would have different expectation for used sets, and I don't think the set is "unsellable" if it's got some shine on it, but I digress. Try talking to Omnitype to see if this is actually within their QC ranges, and I'm going to do the same before I draw any conclusions.
Edit: so apparently this is within GMK's qc range quoting Zambumon.

Lmao Fortunately you will shine your keycaps anyway so it's alright XDDD
Sorry to say but you're out of luck. There are vendors and designers who care and then there are those where you don't matter after they pocket your money. This gb is the latter, or well, if you make a reddit post that gets traction then maybe Dixie will bother with you, maybe. Don't forget to make at least one Dixiemech ticket for every order he sold, otherwise the issue doesn't exist.
Good evening,
We've been in touch with GMK in regards to an issue with some “F13” keycaps of the extension kit. As pictured below, some of the F13 keycaps have a yellow blemish on the top right side of the cap, as if the yellow plastic underneath was emerging to the surface.
After receiving these reports we've confirmed that not all kits are affected by this issue, informed GMK about it and we have started working on getting replacements for those affected with it.
If you are affected by this issue, please fill up this form. Provide your order# and a photo so GMK can make these replacements as soon as possible.

Locking thread so Emir doesn't crap all over it once again and we can get the F13s replaced.

What about these keys? Any news that these keys could possible be replaced as well? Or would you be willing to say this is within GMK's quality control standards?
