Thanks for understanding the gravity of the situation.

After some time to collect everything that is happening we're currently working on a plan and we're in therapy(aka treatment) mode.

---

I looked over the stabilizer packages and it seems that they are all missing screws (for the 2U) so I'll have to get those locally and then sort them to get this moving along.

Regarding some parts that are in Asia currently for reanodization - they are being fixed up but due to some week long holiday in the beginning of October those will be delayed.

----

In any case I've ordered extra units to help fulfill the people wanting extras. We'll have a lot of extra units so please don't hunt in the aftermarket for these.

----

We'll be moving M65A's sometime next week.

----

I really want to thank everyone for being understanding. I know that it doesn't look good on me and I completely accept the feelings you may harbor towards me.

Cheers  & have a good Saturday.

Where will we be able to get the extras? I just really don't want to miss out!

Good **** about the extras. I'm still considering buying an extra base for mine. 9 months in and I haven't figured out if I wanted to keep the nylon diffuser base I got or get a metal one.

Awesome to hear about the extras, I'd love to pick an additional QMK PCB.

There is way too much drama going on in here. I am very much looking forward to my board but the best strategy I've found for dealing with the wait is to simply forget about the board. I forgot about it for a few months already, surely I can forget about it for another month and enjoy what I have. I have plenty of other things to focus my attention on. I do agree that life must still go on in spite of illness, but everyone handles it differently and it is a very sensitive situation. I am fine with Jchan taking the time he needs, I would only appreciate slightly more frequent communication, if only to hear how he and the family are doing, and any updates on parts and shipment. I won't say he is obligated to provide updates weekly but he does have a couple hundred thousand dollars from a lot of people right now so the least anyone in that situation could do is pop in every week or two even if nothing has changed.

Joseph, please handle it at your own pace, and good on you for not letting everyone get to you.

Nice good to hear this is moving forward man hope all is well.  Is it the case that some of us are waiting on re anode from the factory?  Thanks

The ones that are going back for re-ano are going to part of the extras. He used the extras he ordered to make sure that no one from the GB would have to wait for their case to be re-anodized.

Thx for the reply.  However i think that was said before jchan did his complete qc of all the boards.   Thanks again in advance

I'm assuming you're referring to the screws for the stabilizers, correct? Since IIRC the actual board screws are already black.

If so, the stabilizers screws are M2x4mm

Not the stabilizer screws. The screws to mount the plate to the top bezel, the screws to mount the bottom body, and the ones that mount the engraved plate on the bottom. Mine are all silver.

The screws that came with each kit came were different depending on the color case you got.

Hey guys, just wanted to keep the thread alive (and the hype!) and say I'm still psyched to get this beautiful piece of gear.

Hope everything continues to trend better for you jchan, and that you have enough time and patience for the hobby soon.

I couldn't agree more. I just got my Norbauer Case for my Novatouch and I'm so in love now with hefty, aluminum cases for keyboards. I'm extra excited for this one to come next since the Hydro Blue will be a great pop of color and an interesting layout for me.  ;D

Attached my layout and keymap. Base layer, then layer 1, layer 2, layer 3. Layer two is toggled (the others are momentary) and the 'Insert' and 'F2' are in a tap-dance function (once for 'F2', twice for 'Insert'). 'Enter' and 'Fn3' work via the LT(layer, kc) function. Holding 'Enter' switches to layer 3, tapping sends 'Enter'.

Super nice! My Hydro x Hydro will be pretty close to being my ideal endgame so it's great to see others building theirs and getting to see what I've got coming  :thumb:

you need to press the reset key which is behind the board. either leave the bottom open and flash it before putting it together.
remember to program a RESET key so that you dont have to keep opening the case for subsequent flashings.

Just above left shift, if you can't find it you probably got the ps2avrGB PCB.

I use Meta + R.

I have all my keyboard related functions, such as led controls, reset, etc, on the 'meta' layer. I try to program them to keys that are easy to remember. R for Reset, U for Underglow, B for Backlight, etc.

Yes, we get it, you all want to be kept up to date. There's still plenty of us waiting on their keebs. The solution has been posted many many times: either you ask for a refund or you wait.

The situation sucks, but I chose to trust JChan's good standing. His absence leads me to assume nothing good is going on in his life right now and I hope he can process this in a proper way.

Exactly this. His silence leads me to believe something is going sideways for him right now. Hoping everything turns out OK for him.
