My humble collection so far, the only key missing is the Conservative Red V2 Bro sitting on my Filco at work. If I had known my CC's would arrive today I would have brought it home so I could have had a complete family photo  :))

yeah I hate it, it was a mistake on Shapeways part. I ordered 2 other caps and one of them was unable to be made and the star was the only other cap I could find that didn't look like crap, and they wouldnt refund my money but only credit >:(

No, I meant because I designed it and I don't get any credit for it. You ordered it through the person who turned it into a 3D model compatible with Shapeways printing, which is why it is unfinished.

Now that the original thread for these hasn't been bumped in awhile, I figured some people might want to see this again.  It got a fair amount of interest at KeyCon, so I think it makes sense to post here.  :)

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
