Guys, orders start rolling out today!

In the next couple of days some of you (non-CONUS) should start receiving pm regarding shipping cost. NA order will most likely be shipped last since we have to pack all them in a large bulk parcel and then get shipping invoice last by ZealPC once it arrived.

Again sorry for the last unproductive month, this is way too much off schedule :(

rather than the plate being the wrong size, it's more like the plate is just custom cut to fit inside the weaven borders

Since it looks like round 2 orders are being shipped out, is round 3 bound to happen after this? Ergodox infinity board is on MD now and I am thinking if I should get it or hold my monies instead for weaven round 3.  :-\ Replies would be greatly appreciated before Ergodox drop end please  :)) ;D

Which kc should I use :(

- BoB dyesubs with some blue or orange accent keys like Electric Bluegaloo
- Hyperfuse?
- Skidata+
- Skeletor might work
- Sky Dolch(maybe)
- Olivetti Not sure
- Classic Dolch

I would look at accent colors.
Might be able to show you how good it works with the blue since my case has the same blue bars.

Here is a quick mockup of what I want to put on there.

Just need to find someone willing to let go of his or her SkiData+ Enter and Esc key.
That and I need to look for my Zealios. Can't find them. :(

But I have to say, the colors on these is amazing. <3

Just replacement bars, nothing super special :D. As much as I liked the black on black on black, the gunmetal bars really make it look cool (they are gunmetal as well, despite the ****e picture below). Not sure if I'm going to add purple mods or just some red accents.

Hi guys, I'd like to give you some update about current situation.

If you remember the update some times ago I have mention foggy had caught ill, turned out it was worse than a normal flu, it's been weeks that he's been in and out of the hospital. Currently dude still in the hospital, this explained the delay works.

I just learnt about his condition last week since I'm now not in Vietnam, the communication is somewhat limited. I have my friends contact him and he's alright, expect to get out soon.

Regardless of that, we can't just sit and wait, I also worry about finishing this buy. I have asked my friends for help and our friend pear_voz have agreed to lend a hand. He will travel to Ho Chi Minh City on 15th to help out with the shipping. In the meantime if foggy could recover sooner we continued it with no further reason to hold up.

This is an unfortunate news I would never want to give you. It is bad for both, because waiting sucks. On our ends we also don't to keep the stock for too long since it only costs us more on storage fee as time expand, and storing nearly 200 cases is really nervous for **** happen.

I'll keep you updated and communication with the buys, thank you for supporting us and hope you would understand. We're doing our best to finish this as soon as possible to move on with other project we have planned.

Be patient young one!

I know it's easy to say, being one of the few who's posted up about their Weaven's arrival...

... However, both it and a are sitting on the side waiting for [url=https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=41464.0]GH60's.

This is only at seven months from taking orders, GH60's at forty-five!

Seven months when the estimated time was two. GH60's poor outcome is no reason to dismiss the lack of communication and poor handing of this buy - for heaven's sake foggy was in hospital and his own partner didn't even know about, that is no way to run a buy. PayPal protection is also ending in a couple of weeks and people more reputable than these guys have screwed over the community.

Personally, I am just waiting on mine to sell it at this point - it's purple shorts / stands and gunmetal longs with the wkl blockers if anyone wants it.

foggy's in Vietnam, bazh is in Finland, I don't blame the two. But yes, more communication is greatly needed.

Then you are a far more understanding person than I am. If you and I were trying to present ourselves as a reputable business and I was in the hospital, I would make it a point to have someone email and let you know - even if they didn't know who you were. This is the digital age and being in different countries doesn't pose the same obstacles it did thirty years ago.

They took what is most likely tens of thousands of dollars (one and a half per Lustro, two and a quarter per Weaven) from people. To me, that demands certain responsibilities - to include attentative communication; between themselves and towards their customers.

If anyone is interested in taking over my order, PM me! According to my PayPal, I ordered Black-Blue-Silver w/ ANSI Plate and paid $230. I believe that's Black Short Bars, Blue Long Bars, and Silver Feet. If not that, then Black Long Bars, Blue Short Bars and Silver Feet.

Be aware that this cost does not include shipping which will be a separate invoice from Bazh/Zeal? whenever the Weaven actually ships out.

It sucks that this is getting delayed so much. I was and am still looking forward to getting mine but my Paypal protection ends on 12/4. I'm not comfortable leaving that much money in limbo so if does not ship before that date, I'll ask for a refund a couple of days before (or if I have to, I'll open a dispute)

Oh I plan to - I messaged bazh earlier, though he has been on in nearly a week now. Give that a few days before trying too contact him through PayPal. 250$ is just too much time gamble with.

Start a dispute via message in PayPal (starts the first "timer"). With no response, escalate it to PayPal then. I'll honestly probably do the same. The message will give foggyflute an opportunity to respond and/or take action, at least. I'd rather they mail to me directly, tbh.

I don't know if you noticed foggy's avatar note; but it's "Amateur Maker".  Amateur, not professional mind.  Not a fully set up and prepared business with an existing process stream, or fall back communication routes.

They're sub-contracting the manufacture of parts, so they become dependent on others - never great and if I recall correctly there was a hold up (either on this or lustro or both) due to manufacturer/supplier mistake.

Fifty percent of the "business" has been hospitalised - what would happen to massdrop - what would happen to their output under such circumstances do you think?

[shrug]Oh, and I still haven't got my plate (and never will) from the 2012 phantom group buy [/shrug] if the amount of money invested in a blind purchase like this is of concern to you, then don't do it in the first place.  I'm not saying throw money away wilfully, but have a think about how likely something is to come to fruition and work from that; the phantom buy was (mostly) successful so I gambled the GH60 would be as good or better - that backfired - the problems with GH60 made me doubt the SmallFry kit's viability so I avoided [...], while Ivan had done a number of key cap group buys he had never done a keyboard group buy... I think you see where I'm going with this.  Anything where the goods are not currently produced is a gamble on time, and on finances - will it be finished on time, or at all.

The very nature of the method leaves its self open to many, many failure paths... manufacturers quotes will usually come with provisos on material cost and etcetera, postage rates can suddenly change without warning - and by a massive swing, manufacturers can go bankrupt - there goes the money that was put into them and no product will be forthcoming, people can get ill, people can die!

I suppose you and I just have different expectations when it comes to doing business. While delays are to be expected, so are genuine shipping estimates in the first place - the manufacturing delay you reference was solved more than eight weeks ago (the entire estimate for this buy!) on its own and I while I empathize with "fifty percent of the business being hospitalized" I do not place faith in a group that cannot even communicate these problems with each other for weeks - let alone their customers.

Whether they want to call themselves amateurs, professionals, or even hobbyists, once they take money for a product they become - above all that - a business. Especially if they profit from it. With that come certain expectations that they need to meet and when they fail, they should expect customers to try an mitigate any losses - in this case through PayPal's protection.

Consumers laying down for this treatment and passing it off just lowers the expectations for future buys.

While I get that people are antsy with the PayPal deadline closing in, I would suggest doing what you feel you have to do without going around telling people they should too.

You are not a customer but a participant in a group buy. Different rules apply.
We are pooling resources to get something made that otherwise wouldn't be made. If you are uncomfortable with that then limit yourself to buying from stores or Massdrop.

I lost my fair share in groupbuys gone wrong (Miami Nights, TX-1800, probably more) I've been in this game long enough to know sometimes life gets in the way and a buy gets delayed. Oftentimes the organizer fails to communicate in these cases but if they are dependant on the updates from their supplier as well they just can't say much more than "No update.". And even if they do people will still ***** at them.

Now we have seen pictures that these were produced and people (including me) have already received theirs. Either you are patient and wait for them to ship, aware that GBs in general have a risk of passing the Paypal deadline.
Otherwise start a dispute if you want, hope Bazh has enough cash lying around to refund you and say goodbye to your board since they will have to sell it to someone else to fund it.

TL;DR: Do what you have to do or be patient and praise the shipping gods.

I had a longer rebuttle up, but it's getting to the point where people just aren't going to see eye-to_eye, so I am just leaving it with the fact I find it amusing that you say to stick to MassDrop, which itself is a platform based entirely around the concept of a "group buy" - minimum number of participants to get something, more purchases lower price...

I'm done. To this waiting patiently, hopefully you get your stuff; to those going through PayPal, hopefully you get your stuff.

You are exactly right.  Once you take money from not just a single person, but an entire group of people, you not only take their money, but you also take their faith and confidence that you are going to do right by them.  Sure, delays are bound to happen, but like you said, this is the digital age and how difficult is it to to send out an email, (or ask a friend or family member, significant other etc, etc) and CC everyone who was involved with the buy just to give them piece of mind?  Being shady is certainly not the way to go...

This.
I would love it if someone back out of their order and bazh has to sell theirs. I'd definitely grab one :D
But this is right. If you want to backout and file a dispute then do it. Don't influence other participants negatively just because you do.

Yeah I saw it. But I'll just wait for this buy to end. You never know, it might end well for everyone despite all this stuff that is happening :)
