If I were to order a uv green plastic sleeved cable with a white base sleeve underneath for a brighter color, does it matter if the white base layer is plastic or paracord?

I think plastics might let more light through as they are slightly translucent.

I would recommend White Paracord for a more flexible cable + brighter exterior colour.

I would recommend White Paracord for a more flexible cable + brighter exterior colour.

I will however return back to Canada in time to proxy Sprit's springs & Cases/PCBs (Late Aug/Early Sept). My cable store will be temporarily on hold until I come back, but if you wish to place an order and wait a few weeks, I'd be more than happy to work on it the day I come back.

I tried to make these as color accurate as possible... the Imperial Red paracord is a really rich, deep red with an almost metallic sheen to it, and the white-on-white is a brilliant neutral white.


I love how thick the white on white double-sleeved cable is; if I wasn't dead set on getting the Imperial Red paracord I would've double-sleeved that cable as well.

It's getting late, so I took some quick pics to show the new sleeves.  Help me think of a name for "Champagne Gold/Clear" 
*Translucent sleeves had a white USB cable inserted to show how the colour changes. My stock USB cables use black insulation. I may be able to do special requests in white cable.
**Apparently my camera sucks at capturing an accurate representation of "UV Green", so I tried my best to show the bulk sleeve, although it is still a bit more vibrant & darker IRL

Lime should be lighter.

The only other thing you would need to make it EXACTLY like that cable would be gold posted usb ends. However those are definitely not necessary.

So I assume Lime and Yellow is not the colour pictured on Zeal's post? If so, what colour option should I choose, Neon Green perhaps? Also, is double sleeving necessary to get the same result as the picture?
