Corepad Mouse Feet or Buying From eBay?
« on: Wed, 13 June 2012, 15:45:11 »
Hello I've been lurking around this forum for a while now and finally decide to take the plunge and sign up.  So hi everyone ~

So I'm trying to buy a Mionix Naos 3200 Mouse Feet.  But thing is since this is not as mainstream as say... DeathAdder, so they don't carry it on other sites like Puretrak or Hyperglide or SlickSurf... etc.

I'm down to two option which is either from Corepad or from this guy from eBay:

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Precut-Mionix-Naos-3200-5000-Gaming-Mouse-Feet-PTFE?item=230775571069&cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D3%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D9113257405436705522#ht_953wt_1163

I guess buying from Corepad will cost me about $12 and it comes with 2 mouse feet, and this guy from eBay is about $2 for 1 feet.

Personally I use a cloth pad so most likely I'll never have to replace the mouse feet again, so buying 2 mouse feet seems like a waste for me.  Anyone have any experience from mouse feet from this eBay retailer?  Are they any good?  So far I've only heard good things about Corepad but I'm just wondering if it's worth the extra $10.

Thanks !!!

I think that so long as they're PTFE, mouse feet are mouse feet, frankly.

Go with the cheaper buy. Or don't waste your $ if your stock feet aren't worn out--replacements aren't upgrades.

If your strictly using a cloth pad than no, but I use my mice on hard surfaces, ie, Granite, Marble, Glass, Plywood, Melamine.  Hence the original feet all disappear within a few months of usage.  The prices you quoted are really cheap, for me I usually buy several because I go through about two sets of feet per year.

Again if your using something soft and gentle on your mouse then getting extra mouse feet wouldn't be needed.

Oh I'm only getting extra feet because the stock feet feels kind of plastic ish, doesn't feel quite teflon to me.  I wonder if it's UPE kind of like SteelSeries Kana, like a mixture of plastic and teflon.  So I'm not really replacing it because it gets worn down more like because the stock feet kind of sucks LOL.

I'm not sure if it's just me, or can any other Mionix Naos 3200 owners out there confirm that?

But yeah otherwise I've also used Logitech G5, Razer Naga and currently using CM Storm Xornet, all of their stock feet feels great and I haven't had to replace any of them yet.  Oh I also got Artisan Shiden XSOFT recently, and this glides like hard pad but also feels like soft pad and doesn't wear out mouse feet.

And it's white and look plain awesome, highly recommand it :D
