Hmm. The WorldOfWarcraft keyboard insert seems to be 60% + buttons. That's a lot more reasonable.
It has a split space-bar because the insert folds into three hinged parts, and they are intended to be stored folded.

Does the keyboard have any programmability?

Yes, I fully understand why the buttons are like they are, it just seems extraordinarily impractical. Even when using the normal layout, this thing seems absolutely pointless.

According to Amazon, you can program it using the Z-engine.
